Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Same day: best BR #84, worst PL #86 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Fun detective work and an interesting plot hold the game. The combat is a bit annoying, but it is easily exploitable. The graphics are great and really help with the mood of the story. Zero crashes. Update: Excellent story and mystery solving. Wishlisted the upcoming sequel.
Combat is janky af. and i would want the next game to have some more settings such as FOV Slider, Motion Blur options and such. (Though there are some workarounds with editing .ini files, but this shouldn't be necessary) Also the lighting sometimes was all over the place when outside on the streets. Anyway for all fans of lovecraftian stories and or dark and gritty settings this will be a great game. Playing as "private eye" is very fun and the cases are mostly well thought out. I played both the vanilla and remastered version and had a lot of fun both times.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

2. Quienes no tenga paciencia. 3. Quienes esperen un juego AAA.
The concept really pulled me in. I love a Lovecraftian game, and I'm pretty forgiving with my reviews of them. This is because it's a difficult genre to pull off, and I'm more in it for the atmosphere and lore than gameplay, typically. What I will not forgive is a game that's released that's completely broken. The fact that I can't use DLSS and get horrible FPS is completely unacceptable. I love the Sherlock Holmes games Frogwares developed, but they actually work, mostly. I would say avoid at all costs until it's fixed. These are the kinds of Dev choices we shouldn't support in any way. This is, from what I hear, a decent game that suffered from a greed decision: Let's "remaster" the game so we can up our sales before the sequel. I won't even be looking at the sequel until this is fixed. Do better, Frogwares. -100/10, don't waste your money, even if it's $6.
I wish they made this game simply a detective game. And I do recommend it as a detective sim. The main story and side quests are fun, investigation mechanics are cool. (I only wish they made dialogues advance on a click). Anything else is flawed. The fighting mechanics are garbage, the forced world exploration is annoying since there’s nothing to do other than quests or garbage fights you don't want to take part in (I wish there was fast travel), the crafting is excessive. ChatGPT recommended The Sunken City as a game similar to The Forgotten City. The latter is a masterpiece, the former is a fine detective sim if you can overcome the artificial padding of the game. P.S. I cringed at Ukrainian Easter eggs, as a Ukrainian. They are so… inelegant. Feels like a heavy national inferiority complex.
Where is the Unreal Engine 4 version of the game that I bought? Was it so hard to release this version separately instead of replacing the original?
Is the remaster still janky? Yes. Do I still love this game and buy it for every platform I have? Also yes. lol Cannot waiting for the sequel!
