About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

nice game
I have played this game 3 times thru. 2x NG+ and just now did under 3h run. Can i recommend this game. Well if your fan of Resident evil type 3 remake type gameplay with out constant hunting enemy. Then this close call. There is no MP or those other concepts like in remake. But point is that this is by quality. and content type wise similiar experience as that game. But clearly made smaller studio but its not greatly lesser experience that spoken comparison. But some ironing could be done for some aspects of game. Some dialogue may miss their mark and some jank with combat experience. This is my first H.P Lovecraft genre of game so i wont be speaking of lore much. Small amount of game loop. You travel thru sinking city order to bring back your love. But on your journey you get constant problems you need to fix order to progress "Resident evil type gameplay". Your gain perks by connecting puzzle details and collecting specific crystals so remember collect all data and info. While roaming on city you find new weapons and limited resources to survive with in location. So constant combat is not recommended but game gives at times Arena combat places where boxes give ammo and loot as it happens. So you wont be broke after one encounter. So this sums up this game. What good this game has for it. - Its simple replay value game. Where you play game thru about 2-8h campaign if taken slowly and with out cheats. "Unlocked content with cheat abilities" - Decent catalog of unlockable content by playing game and doing task with in game. Infinite ammo, unlock weapons earlier, skins, and lamp color modules. - Game looks great and i have not had any issues with game performance nor crashes. What was the thing you wished could be improved. - Combat and weapon upgrades. There are just something wrong with combat flow and even more with higher difficulties. While its not recommended that you go kill everything. But same time. You would wish some weapons could have more flavor like shotgun. Some weapon upgrades are just bad like whole shotgun after shot you can cleave with that melee attachment. But it cannot hit anything. If you play higher difficulty monsters instant grab you simply going near them. This is what i wish this game would fix. Idea of having shotgun as knock-back weapon with good finished melee attack sounds nice. But it just does not work well. Like shoot enemy. It falls down and you try malee it. Its not reachable by melee attachment. But any kicking does work. IF monster is not knocked down it will instant grab attack you. Like my attempt to show my issues. Also some guns just lack punch. - More NG+ rewards. It saddens me that this game does not allow NG+ hold collected items on previous game save and upgrades on weapons. So you need to always go recollect same modules and items expansions order to play game. Just a missing opportunity if you ask me. Not even speaking that order to unlock unlockables. Some weapons tasks are not doable. As you have so little enemies that point and limited access to tools. Like melee attack with shotgun... What did you dislike about this game. - They are selling Day one DLC. Where more weapons and stuff can be experienced. 12.99€ for that is insane cost and honestly game is all ready expensive alone. Now this... 49.99€ alone. I´m not regretting that purchase price but if your lacking money and want something better. Get this game from sale. - Game needed more horror experience or something to make traveling halls more dangerous. But same time in this game monsters will chase you thru some halls but not everywhere. One monster what roams is little bit weak and only one part of game. That saddens me. - At times monsters do become overly repetitive. I know its part of genre. But with issues i spoke off. These become more obnoxious.
Would you recommend this game
I would recommended to spoken audience and even then with sale. Even more when they selling Day 1 DLC. While for general score i would give 8/10. But if your huge fan of H.P Lovecraft and other stuff go a head. But i don´t really think this game will be that good experience for Lovecraft fans. I personally did not find this game be great first time experience for this this genre of H.P lovecraft. But it was again okay resident evil copy game. Like i spoke i don´t really know genre so well but expectation of mind bending maddens or something was there. But no... Take that view as you wish. Just my experience of game.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Flawless on the technical front, and oozing atmosphere. You gotta give this one a chance.
Great game, some of the puzzles hurt my tiny brain but a great survival horror. Cant see anything better coming out till RE veronica
I prefer the first one version with logic proposals to combinate BUT this one is also "addictive", graphics are better and for this scary adventure, I say : good work, absolutely no regrets to buy this game. N.B. difficulty level means very difficult fights
The Sinking City 2 is a very different game than its predecessor. It drops the open world and emphasis on investigation for a more linear experience with gameplay elements borrowed from the recent remakes of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It does keep intact its fantastic atmosphere and fierce passion for Lovecraftian and cosmic horror. Game performance is a bit all over the place, even on powerful hardware. I felt that that the combat, enemy weak points and gun damage, could use a bit of adjusting. Overall though, Frogwares delivered a great game that I enjoyed my time with.
这个结局确实很克苏鲁,没有隔壁鬼屋魔影的全员安全撤离。
นี่คือ เกม Resident Evil Operation Sinking City แต่ถูกใจมาก แอบหลอนๆดี ฉากสวยมาก
Amazing representative of the survival horror genre. Enjoying every minute of it so far.
