About
The Sinking City 2 is a third-person survival horror set in 1920s Arkham. Deliberate, tense, and resource-lean: pressure builds as you push deeper, relief comes in brief refuge, and fear is something you manage. Mind your inventory, take on unnerving puzzles, and double back via unlocked shortcuts for supplies and upgrades.
A Roaring ’20s port city buckling under a supernatural flood. Tide-stained avenues and battered Art Deco. Speakeasies gone dark. Districts feel lived-in and water-worn, with routes by foot and skiff, shortcuts behind collapsed seawalls, and secrets tucked in boarded parlors. You’ll navigate a hospital where science hides its face, a fish market where the merchandise bites back, and descend deep below the city to where eldritch horrors stir.
A ritual gone wrong trapped her soul in the Dreamlands, and now malevolent forces have stolen her body. To rescue the woman you love, you must walk a dangerous path through catastrophe to the source of the flood — her presence always felt, but rarely seen.
The Slither animate the dead. Deep Ones surge from dark water. Shadows bend space and test nerves. Some fights must be met head-on; others demand a retreat to rearm, retune your build, and return better prepared. Or take on an optional investigation and come back with an upgraded gun.
Exploration is the key to survival. Read ritual residues, sift through grisly clues, decode journals that shouldn’t exist, and pry at masks that won’t come off. Optional cases never gate progress — but they unlock safer routes, hard supplies, and upgrades that change how you endure the next encounter.
The Sinking City 2 draws on Frogwares’ detective roots to deliver survival horror that runs deep and hits hard. Shaped by studio obsession and community feedback, it’s a faithful Lovecraft experience: myths made manifest, and the inconceivable fear that results.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I was a member of the Kickstarter for this game. I caught on the to series with the first game. As a fan of Lovecraftian horror and the overall aesthetic, I was excited to see that they were making a sequel, and I feel it did not disappoint! thankfully, you do not have to play the first game to understand the story and the characters of this one. they take place in the same universe, but that seems to be the only connection. This game plays very similarly to the Resident Evil franchise. exploration, puzzle solving, inventory management and shooting all feel the same to those games. If you have enjoyed the RE franchise, you will like this game. You will find some similar mechanics, such as maps that change color when rooms are cleared, large maps to explore and discover items and puzzles, and even in-game achievements that unlock points to change the game. The story, i felt, was well done. Compared to the first game, which played like several mini-investigations tied together, this one plays out as one connected plot. some levels have side missions that can unlock other items or bonuses, but they are not mandatory. The characters of Calvin (PC) and Faye also are very charming, and work together better than the first game's protagonist. as you go through the levels, you will find Easter eggs and references to Lovecraft works, as well as other horror/pulp works as well, keep an eye out! For all its strengths, there were a few weaknesses. Sometimes the audio of the creatures you fight do not line up with their movements, or a sound effect wont trigger. Also, the combat is definitely geared to shooting, not melee. so if you are caught in a corner with no ammo...good luck! Also, the story seems to rush at the end, which lessens the impact of the final level. But these are small in my mind. I have to give a special recognition to Frogwares. The development team is located in Ukraine, and has been affected by the war in the area. Despite this, the preservered and created this game with worldwide support. I do hope you take the time to try this title! It is worth it to respect the work and effort that went into creating the game at all.
i think a lot of people are really embarrassing themselves when they say "it's not like the sinking city 1 so it's bad. i refuse to research the games i want to buy before i buy them, and am incapable of giving anything slightly different a chance" over and over. they just keep saying that, out loud, and it's very funny. if you actually looked at it, and realized it's not something you'd be interested in, you'd know you don't actually have to buy it! the sinking city 1 had, i think, a lot of problems. it was until now the best game frogwares had ever made, but a lot of the extra stuff tacked on to the detective game (the often empty traversal, the repetitive interiors, especially the combat) felt not great. they then made the bizarre decision to focus the sequel Way more on combat, and it's much improved from the original. certainly not the snappiest most satisfying resident evil-type game i've ever played - i think it's just slightly less solid-feeling than alan wake 2, which itself feels a bit less solid than the re4 remake even though i love it more. however, just the fact that weakspots on enemies aren't always on the head is very fun and makes for frantic in-the-moment problem solving. the only problem i have with the game so far is that the the main character, whose name is Wife Guy, has a creepy little smile he does all the time. it really looks like they went into the metahuman editor and dragged the edges of his mouth up too high and forgot to change it back. he's clearly the lovecraftian archetype of Cool Smarmy Detective Guy who ends up a drooling horror at the end, as opposed to Reed from the first game who already starts off pretty broken, but the little narrow smile wife guy does at everything makes me think he's one of the monsters. another weird thing is that the supernatural seems waaaaay more mainstream in this world than it did in the original, in ways that don't quite track for me. wife guy and his wife are actively gathering secret, hidden knowledge that's implied to be quite hard to find, but not six blocks from this guy's apartment there's a seemingly public strip club that just has a mermaid dancing in it? and a church near that that's clearly a Creepy Type Of A Church? wife guy should get out of the restricted library more and start living in his own creepy community.
excellent
Zatím super, je to napínavé a pocit nedostatku věcí z blížícím se bojem zvedá adrenalin. Hru si užívám
An absolute masterpiece of an experience! The Sinking City 2 is a massive, positive leap forward and completely different from the first installment, showcasing incredible improvements in its eerie atmosphere, investigation mechanics, and engaging storytelling. The game is genuinely worth the price and every single penny given the high quality, attention to detail, and immersive suspense it delivers. I spent around 13.5 hours of pure excitement and thrilling exploration that kept me hooked from start to finish. A huge thank you and deep appreciation to the team for their thoughtful approach in seeking permission and providing a professional Arabic localization, which truly elevates the entire experience. Highly recommended for all horror and adventure fans
