The Room

Great game, but this is only 4 chapters and a very short offering. The mobile version seemed to have more. Only a few hours long but challenging and worth the $5

I just love puzzles so i got this. 10/10

If you like puzzle games, this is a must-play. It feels like solving the puzzles of an escape room, but inside a videogame

The difficulty is medium (balanced)—not too easy, and not frustratingly hard Unfortunately, the lighting is very low, and there is no option to change it in the settings menu. As a long-time ARG and escape room enthusiast who has worked in the industry for a couple of years, I highly recommend this gem. As a lightweight escape-room-ish game, the puzzles were neatly fit into a relatively small space, with some really interesting designs that did not feel out of place or inconsistent. There are minor hiccups, such as some puzzles might be counterintuitive, the controls sometimes feel wonky, but nothing that would break the fun. The art style and music are really well-made as well. As an ARG designer, I noticed some puzzles could take a more linear or simple approach, but the team managed to fit all the intricate parts into one consistent style, that's passion + talent. The story, however, is not the best in the genre, as someone writing this review only after finishing the series. Of course, just like most of the escape rooms, the story's purpose here is to serve the puzzle and motivate the players, so don't expect the level of King or Poe, but it does get better, with a pretty interesting cosmic-horror type world-building. You will get 2.5 to 4 hours of immersive puzzle-solving out of this. Play it on a rainy weekend, with a cup of hot tea and biscuits. Nice.

Very fun series that keeps you guessing at what's the next step. Some moments will make you scratch your head but with enough patience you can figure out the puzzles. Visually amazing but controls can be a lil awkward at times tho.
