Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the best police simulators out there. It has a somewhat interesting story, very good GTA like gameplay, but centered around police work. The gameplay loop, centered around shifts, are very good. They get more and more varied the more you play, and if you want to immerse yourself in police work, you don't need to progress the story, you can just do the shifts over and over, because they are random. Also apart from story missions, you are free to search for any crimes and resolve them the way you want to. Ofc you may get less rewards if you don't do it by the book, but free will is indeed free. I highly recommend this game to anyone that got tired of asset flip police simulators over the years, because this is really a unique game, that will make good use of your time.

why does this remind me of gta vice city either way i think this is a fresh take to police sim games great storyline great roleplay and fantastic police sim i so far have had lots of fun playing and driving around graphics are great roleplay is great im glad i purchased very good game
Cool game with a ton of unrealized potential. The basic structure of the sandbox is awesome especially for a smaller team, but still needs a lot of love to really thrive. The policing is cool but the majority of activities lack depth and variety. The world doesn't quite feel alive and emergent enough to lead to unique experiences every shift. The majority of activities you may do on shift ultimately play out the same way with a general lack of player choice, and some events just don't seem like they've been given enough attention. There is a very clear lack of meaningful content for a game not in early access, in my opinion. Big gripe is no mod support, and per the discord the team has no intention to add it. I think that's a massive blunder for the lifetime and potential of the sandbox that has already been built here, and I hope that it eventually makes it into the package before Fallen Tree moves on from this project.
This is just a good old-fashioned video game. The story left a bit to be desired, but the main draw is the sandbox elements and those struck a good balance between arcade and simulation-level detail.
The Good
Driving through the nighttime city and blasting synthwave made for a chill experience between writing parking tickets and beating up crackheads! The vehicle physics were surprisingly good for an indie title such as this, which gave me big early-GTA vibes. For a top-down game, there was a surprising amount of detail. From searching suspects, to issuing commands to your dog, to loading dead bodies onto a stretcher. There is a bunch of cool stuff to do. Also, a big shoutout goes to the dev team for their continuous free updates. It appears that they have added a good amount of content to the game since launch (shout out to my German Shepherd bro).
The Bad
As for the negatives, the gameplay loop ran a little stale in the last few hours. There was a lack of crime variety (especially combinations of crimes from a single perpetrator) so it started to feel like I was just going through the motions in the final stretch. If they had sprinkled in a few more dedicated story missions rather than just relying on open-world sandbox, that would have improved the pacing, for me.
Conclusion
All said and done, The Precinct is full of character. It could use a few tweaks here and there but ultimately this is yet another example of the kind of creativity that indie development brings to the gaming world. This was a good one!
I rarely leave reviews, but I truly love this game from the bottom of my heart. It’s truly commendable that the developers are still updating and refining the gameplay one full year after launch, bringing players fresh experiences. While the storyline is a bit lacking, it does nothing to overshadow the fun gameplay. It’s clear the team is dedicated to keeping players engaged. That said, I’d like to offer a word of advice: player loyalty hinges on diverse and engaging gameplay, not tedious achievement grinds. The new roles like Paramedic and Coroner are incredibly creative and addictive, showing huge potential for this game franchise. However, the latest achievement — locating 100 drug stashes — is unreasonably frustrating. The rewards are underwhelming: just two outfits and two hats with repetitive designs, paired with extreme difficulty. Few players will bother to complete it. As I mentioned before, great gameplay, not overly tedious or punishing achievements, is what keeps players around. I hope the developers will adjust this and keep expanding and polishing the game with more creative content in the future.
Amazing game! for some it might be boring but for me it's kinda exciting. Stopping crimes as a normal human being with a baton or hand gun. Plus trying not to over speed while driving. I enjoy the open world like city.
