For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away.
Silk Song has passed. Now is your time. She stood no chance against Hornet anyway, that meme was accurate. Finally, the Disco Elysium sequel the people were asking for! This game will stand side by side with Dark Souls in my desktop. I absolutely love this game, but it's not completely finished even though it was fully released as a completed game. The main storyline is finished I suppose. But there's still a lot of content missing. Despite that honestly, I think it’s worth it. Since it came out of beta, the quests are wayyyy more engaging. The characters have their own unique personalities and designs, the story can actually surprise you (a couple parts spooked me, but never breaks the cozy vibes), and everything is so beautifully designed. It’s not perfect, there’s spelling errors, a fair bit of grinding (there’s not really a decent way to automate item collection/ingredient collecting), and some glitching that can be a bit annoying resulting in having to restart the game on a rare occasion). The devs aren’t really community focused and news is pretty rare, but there’s only 2 devs and they’re in Korea. I’m also always on the lookout for games that have an aspect of town/base/community building on the side. Getting to rebuild Wisteria from near-scratch appealed to me in a way Stardew Valley’s Community Center simply can’t match. Here you’re basically foraging for resources to craft into potions and other items, that you use to make money, clear quests and advance the main story. There’s a tiny pinch of Zelda’s puzzle solving too, since you often need to use your potions and candies to solve environmental puzzles. IMO, the grindiness feels like an attempt to follow a “do a bit every day” play style. If you are casual with it, then you’ll truly never run out of things to do. It's supposed to be slow, so EVERYONE STOP TRYING TO MAKE IT FAST. You can tap 'x' to have characters spit out their entire dialogue line instead of watching it draw letter by letter but don't rush through it. Relationships and small talk ARE the bulk of the game. Just breathe slowly, untense your shoulders, have some tea, and just spend some time in this world. You unlock relationships after a good few hours into the game, after you've started to fix up the starting area of the village. Most villagers have special quests that you unlock at a certain heart level, and you get extra benefits as you befriend them, but it's really more friendship than romance. The characters have a lot of personality. I like their friendship mechanic. House decorating unlocks a little bit later, but might vary from player to player? For me, I unlocked it after completing the first third of the main story. You don't start out with it, which is a bit of a bummer, but you can buy and craft furniture! I enjoyed potion making and feeling like I’m studying the local wildlife by doing tasks. You can also customize your potion workshop, not just your main house. The art is beautiful, the gameplay loop is super solid, and you get to be a cute little witch making potions. I might have my own quibbles about some of it, but overall I think it's only going to get better and better from here. I recommend this game like I’m being paid to because it scratches the itch that nothing but Stardew Valley and Palia really has come close to, and I can say it’s one of my favorite game to play now. 8/10

I’d like to start by pointing out that, despite the comparisons, this game is not just another Stardew Valley clone. This title has its own set of strengths and weaknesses, features gameplay mechanics built from the ground up, and offers its own unique take. I believe that comparing this game to another famous title is unfair to the developers, because it at least partially suggests that they’re riding on someone else’s coattails. That said, setting those comparisons aside allows us to better appreciate what the game actually achieves on its own terms - one of the definite positives is the way this world has been built. It simply makes sense. There is a history and background, both on a global and local level. There is magic, which is both mysterious and widely accepted. The biomes are diverse, so that the player constantly feels like they’re discovering something new and exploring a mysterious magical world, yet there’s absolutely no sense of danger because combat as such doesn’t exist. Gameplay loops are exceptionally well-designed. There’s enough variety to ensure that if the player gets tired of one aspect, they can switch to something else for a while. The purely magical aspect of our activity: potion brewing – has been implemented as a decent minigame, and any resulting monotony is offset by constantly rewarding the player in one way or another. Personally, I really liked the main plot. I like that our MC has her own selfish reasons for making the decisions she makes, yet despite that she’s essentially a good person, if a bit naive and childish. Her growth as a person and as a professional witch is one of the key elements of this story. Side quests involving villagers also make sense. They’re longer, multi-layered stories that are well-grounded in the game’s world and, unfortunately, often tragic as well. Regarding negatives - the biggest problem is the quality of the English translation. It is very inconsistent, and in some places, verbs or adjectives used are synonymous but incorrect in the context of the sentence. In other, entire sentences have been translated in such a way that changes their meaning. Yes, the developers are fixing this, but they could have avoided it entirely. Another issue is the completely unnecessary grind that is required if you want to complete the game to 100%. In my opinion, the requirements are clearly artificially inflated to extend the time spent playing the game. Turning fun into a chore isn’t something that does any game any favors. Would I recommend it? Yes. As far as I'm concerned, this game is for those who want to feel like a witch's apprentice. On top of that, it has a solid world, an interesting and engaging story, and gameplay loops that never get boring. If you don’t feel the need to max out the game to 100%, the grind won’t be particularly tedious; or even noticeable. The only definite downside is the quality of the English translation, which, despite constant updates, still leaves a bit to be desired. ✅

Pixel art graphics have a unique, fairy-tale atmosphere. Game has its own distinctive character, which is evident in its overall visual style. It’s appropriately mysterious and magical, yet quite cozy. It also features a rather nice, animated main menu.
Soundtrack fits the game perfectly. It consists of calm instrumental music, composed to capture the game’s atmosphere - magical and cozy. While it isn’t something that stands on its own, it perfectly complements the overall gaming experience. It was composed by Studio EIM.
Story is surprisingly good. In addition to the main storyline, there are side quests involving the villagers and their problems. On top of that, there are various randomly generated orders and fetch quests, which are a way to make money.
A well-written tutorial, that contains all the necessary information about the game and its mechanics.
World is well designed. A variety of information sources (books, NPCs, or even the MC's own input) help create a believable setting. In addition, there are three distinct biomes, each featuring its own unique creatures and plants.
MC has a variety of potions at their disposal, but it’s up to the player to figure out how they work, where to use them, and which puzzles they can help to solve. Brewing potions/magical candies is a lot of fun. It’s engaging enough, but not too difficult nor unnecessarily complicated. It requires some basic preparation of ingredients, but once you reach a certain level of proficiency, you can automate the entire process.
Gameplay mechanics are well-designed and thought-out. It never gets boring, as the developers have included plenty of side activities (unlocked as you progress through the game), allowing players to switch between them if they get tired of one.
There’s a lot of grinding in the game, but it’s not as tedious or exhausting as it might seem at first glance. It’s bearable, and to be honest, it’s easy to forget about it while you’re playing. You’ll only really notice it if you’re aiming for 100% completion.
You can upgrade and decorate your witch’s house. Interior design system is very similar to the one in Stardew Valley. Main difference is that you can craft your own furniture instead of relying on vendors.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the game’s length. To be honest, I thought it was a short game that could be finished in 25–30 hours, but in reality, it took me about 24 hours to reach the second biome. So I can confidently say that price/length ratio is well balanced.
😐

Mechanics of upgrading devices should be better explained (you have to buy upgraded versions in the store and then swap them out).
While I appreciate the ability to decorate rooms on my own according to my own vision, I still think the game should offer some pre-made templates for each one.
You can't create or customize your character. Neutral, cause I don’t really care about it, but someone else might.
Controls aren't K&M, just the keyboard. It works better on a controller.
❌

English translation leaves much to be desired. Sometimes it’s the wrong verb or adjective, while other times the entire sentence structure is weird and can be misleading. Game developers are constantly working on it and improving it, but it’s still far from being perfect.
If you want to reach 100%, you'll have to spend way too much time on unnecessary grind. In my opinion, the requirements regarding the number of samples needed to complete an encyclopedia entry should be lowered.
Witch Stations aren't well-designed, neither in terms of mechanics nor in terms of their purpose. Instead of serving as a fast-travel option in the late game, they act as a two-way portal between some other location and your home. The only advantage over other return mechanisms is that they can be used to travel in both directions. Other than that, they break down fairly quickly and require constant repairs.
Hint system needs to be improved. Game doesn't provide hints where they're needed, but offers way too many where they're not.
Completed quests should either disappear completely from the task list, or there should be an option to hide them.
Broom doesn't handle turns very well. It also tends to get stuck in random corners or on objects.
I really wanted to like this game. It looked so cute and cosy, and the art style is lovely. Unfortunately, after almost an hour of gameplay, I'd only just reached the objective to clean the hidden room in the abandoned witch's house. The reason wasn't because of the gameplay—it was because the game constantly interrupts you with dialogue between Ellie and her hat. I don't mind story in games, but this felt excessive. Almost every single cleaning action triggered another conversation. Clean something... more dialogue. Clean the next thing... more dialogue. It became frustrating because I couldn't stay focused on actually playing the game. The conversations also didn't feel particularly meaningful. It seemed like the game was trying to establish the characters and their relationship, but there was simply too much of it, especially right at the beginning. Instead of getting invested in the story, I found myself wishing the dialogue would stop so I could continue playing. My daughter and I both ended up uninstalling the game before finishing the introduction. It's a shame, because underneath all the interruptions there seems to be a cosy game with potential. I just wish it had trusted the gameplay more and spaced the dialogue out instead of constantly stopping the player.
Would not recommend to people with memory issues or attention span issues, I was unable to focus in even just the opening dialogue because of the walls of text that seem to go on, making the tutorial very long. I don't want to give this game a bad review, so I'm putting my review as recommended, because I believe it's for some people, just wasn't for me.
It’s hard to say if the game is good or bad. It falls into category of games that have very strong pros and very noticeable cons, that hard to ignore. The game is extremely cozy, has interesting plot, potion crafting and bestiary creation mechanics, interesting main character. But at the same time, the game has cons that at certain point outweighed everything and made me drop it: The repetitiveness, lack of progress and toooooo much dialogues, like a ton of unnecessary dialogues. The game tries so hard to engage you into building a relationship with NPCs that it becomes impossible to stay engaged. Everyone has a stupid quest to give you or every small action is followed by a conversation with an NPC. And the quests from NPC don’t lead you into exploration of the forest or further territories, they make you do chores for them instead. So what starts as fantasy quests quickly loses its charm.
The game is calm and interesting. There are no usual mobs, but instead there are animals that need to be scratched, petted, and caught. The game is filled with kindness. You help the villagers and collect your own encyclopedia. So far, there are only positive aspects, but there is also a downside: I would like to see the addition of the Russian language. I have been considering this game for a long time, but the lack of Russian language was the only factor that prevented me from purchasing it. However, I could not resist and ended up buying it. A request to the game developers: give the opportunity for more people to see your game and enjoy the tranquility by adding the Russian language. Thank you for your attention!
Fantastic cosy game! Pros: - Art is gorgeous. - Story is whimsicle and full of cats. - Creatures are delightful to investigate and learn about. - Potion making is fun and interactive. - House and broom customisation were beautiful. - I cannot stress enough how cute the cats are. Those silly drawings had me hooting. Cons: - Very grindy in the end game. Getting things to S tier seemed unnecessarily difficult. - The museum required more than one for several items which made it super frustrating. - Late game characters and customisation is less gripping in the end. Some characters weren't unlocked until 70 hours in game and by then I was more there to complete things than actually care and listen.
