Narrative pixel-art point-and-click with a dark medieval vibe, where you play as a plague doctor. I found The Plague Doctor of Wippra really enjoyable, even if it’s very short. The story and dialogue work well, and the puzzles are nicely balanced: neither too easy nor too brain-melting (though… I did check a guide once). As for achievements, most of them are easy to get, but I had to do three playthroughs to unlock the last one: you need to trigger specific dialogue with several characters, and I missed it the first two times. All in all, I recommend this game.

Lo recomiendo en descuento. Es un buen juego, pero siento que es muy forzado encontrar algunas cosas y eso me saca un poco del ambiente. Destaco su banda sonora, me encantó; las ambientaciones son bonitas y lo narrativo es interesante sin sobresalir pero si me gustó que se tomen muchos detalles reales de esa época.

The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a wonderfully atmospheric point-and-click adventure with stunning low-res pixel art and a hauntingly effective soundtrack that together create a genuinely oppressive medieval atmosphere. The story follows a plague doctor navigating superstition and ignorance with real historical grounding, and the puzzle design is mostly logical — I particularly enjoyed the zodiac man puzzle, though a couple of solutions felt arbitrary and had me stumped. My main complaint mirrors what everyone else says: the game ends just when you're getting truly invested, clocking in around two hours, which feels too brief to fully develop its characters or themes. That said, the quality of what's here is undeniable, and the multiple endings give it some replay value even if the differences are modest. If you can catch it on sale and appreciate slow-burn narrative adventures in the vein of The Last Door, it's absolutely worth your time.
