About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

Reviews
This is a vast improvement on the first game and the new flaw system is genuinely so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool.
I enjoyed the first game very much, and I’m having a blast with the second part too. I don’t know what people who are complaining about weak or boring writing are smoking, because the sheer amount of attention to detail and the creative talent that went into The Outer Worlds 2 is astonishing. I guess satire either works for you or it doesn’t. The world is fun, and shooting monsters is fun. Given how long the game is, plus future expansions, it’s a steal with a 50% discount.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Pretty good
It's a 50-60 hour game. The writing is alright, the acting is mostly good. The pacing is a little off, and so is the tone in places, but it's a solid 7/10 game, and I enjoyed it equally to the first one (And found it a lot less dry than Avowed.) A fully fledged survival mechanic, and some more direct decisions to be had would have elevated it substantially, but for what it is? Good.
Both the storyline and gameplay are exceptional. I was a little concerned that a sequel wouldnt be as good as the first but it did live up to the amazing standard set by the first installment. I strongly reccomend this game to anyone considering it. Also worth mentioning, ive just finished my first play through of the game. Thats around 42 hours. I did every side quest in the main game but dont have the DLC. I didnt rush it but i dont feel that i was especially slow either, so that should give a decent idea of how long it will take you to play it fully
If you like playing with Mods, good Luck with running the game. Its just luck if it works. For me the first start worked well. Second not. Wont even start. LowLevelFatalError. New Shaders doesn't work since the game freeze while trying to initialize the shaders and after restart the error appears as well, No Update works, nothing. And even without mods you have to worry about crashes. Have constant crashes at the same location at Westfold.
The original Outer Worlds, but more. Better graphics, a more interesting and thoughtful feat system and extra tactical options and gameplay gimmicks married to the same kind of setting and combat/stealth/dialog immersive sim gameplay. Builds on what made the original a definitely worthwhile, if maybe not completely mindblowing experience, so well worth picking up.
