About
The Outer Worlds 2 is the eagerly-awaited sequel to the award-winning first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment (just look at the exciting number of dashes in this sentence!). Time to clear your calendar – get ready for an action-packed adventure with a new crew, new weapons, and new enemies in a new colony! So much newness!
As a daring and most likely good-looking Earth Directorate agent, you must uncover the source of devastating rifts threatening to destroy all of humanity. Your investigation leads to Arcadia, home of skip drive technology, where the fate of the colony, and ultimately the entire galaxy, rests on your decisions—your strengths, your flaws, your crew, and the factions you choose to trust.
The Arcadia colony is engulfed in a factional war, as the Protectorate’s so-called benevolent rule is challenged by the rebellion of their religious order and a corporate invasion. As destructive rifts spread across the colony, each faction fights to control or close them for their own ends. Navigate diverse zones, uncover hidden lore, and shape the fate of a system on the brink!
Build your character with the abilities and choices that reflect your playstyle. The colony reacts to your every move, crafting a narrative that’s yours to own—whether you’re a disciple of diplomacy, an astute strategist, a crusader for chaos, or something different altogether. And yes, you can dumb!
Recruit companions with unique traits, backgrounds and goals. Whether you choose to help them achieve their ambitions or steer them toward your own objectives, your influence shapes their growth (or death), making them an integral part of the immersive story you create together.

I enjoyed the first Outer Worlds. I wouldn't put it among my favourite RPG franchises but I had fun playing it. I finally bought the sequel and just finished my first playthrough. Firstly I played on the easiest difficulty as I'd rather enjoy the story than stress over combat. Typically in RPGs I'm always a stealth sniper although it took me a while to get a sniper rifle. I also missed a load of cool guns (they're used for hidden achievements) so explore each map thoroughly. I barely used the Time Dilation (slow motion) gadget instead switching between the Acidic Dematerializer (melts corpses so other enemies don't see them) and the N-Ray Scanner (see enemies/traps/wires through walls) as they fitted with my stealth play. Terminals can also reveal messages that appear later as speech choices which is cool. There's multiple factions to work with/murder depending on who you like the most (or dislike the least). Things I didn't like. There's no outfits/helmets that grant you skill bonuses like in the first game. No customisation for companions. You can upgrade their skills as you level up and do their companion quests but you can't change their outfits or weapons. It's very basic. No romance either (like the first game) which sucks because murderous cultist Aza would have been top of my list!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 26: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

This is a "Well, It's OK I guess". Play this if you're stuck for something to do. If you're looking for a game where, at the end, your saying "WOW that was great", carry on looking. There's very little to like. The characters are good, I like the companions. They are all likeable in their own way. The voice acting is top draw and their stories are probably the best thing about the game It looks good; 8/10. That's about it. Mainly the game is designed to force you to replay. Skills It's excruciatingly ungenerous in skill points. To really enjoy the game, you need many skills, way beyond what you can get by lvl 30. Stealth builds for example require so many points that it's mid game before it even begins to become worthwhile. The reason? Force you to replay where you can add more skills. It's frustrating. Perks So few, and very few are at all exciting. Again,if you want decent load out, replay Collectibles Tiny, hidden away. Some are missable even at early game so unless you are willing to scan each millimeter you won't get them all. Of course you can use maps, but therein are spoilers. It's ok, replay if you missed them! They aren't there for your fun, they just rely on your FOMO. So replay? No, it's just not that good. Gear There's just one set of stats, small changes to armour. Companions: In the first game you could build up your team so you could just watch them lay waste, big fun. Not so here. Wasn't till I had completed all companion quests (gated by main story) that they were half as powerful. Weapons Some fun ones! It's just crap balancing. If you do play it, it's a lot more fun with a mod to increase skill points. It's a cheat but the game is just annoying otherwise.
idk, plays and feels weird, barely any different weapons, i always dont really understand what i even need to do And if i get it, its bugged idk, wont play it anymore
Well I could have given a proper review. But I don't feel like it. If I cannot choose gender in a RPG game because there is just body type 1 and body type 2, I just don't feel like you respect me. Or if only NPC relationship I have encountered after 54 hours is gay couple. You are spoon feeding me something I don't care about and that overshadows unfortunately all the rest. You have a mission and urge to tell me something more than you want me to enjoy the game. So be it, this is the last game I will buy from Obsidian.
Файна гра, для фанатів лутання всього підряд і шукання цікавинок і сховок. Є певна схожіть з Готікою \ Elex - тому і сподобалась гра.
is fun.
The Outer Worlds 2 is a great sequel to the first The Outer Worlds and improves on it in most ways. The game is set in Arcadia, and you play as an Earth Directorate agent sent there on an important mission that will lead you to explore the Arcadia system and its many factions and the conflicts surrounding them.. The game’s setting and universe are great, showing and criticizing many political ideologies like capitalism, scientism, religion, and egalitarianism in a good, thought-provoking way that makes the player think and wonder about their own beliefs. The main story, on the other hand, left me wanting more. It lacked, in my opinion, depth and options that I would come to expect from an RPG of this size. The companions in this game, like its setting, are varied and unique, each with their own personality, charm, and story that makes you care and want to know more about them. Gameplay in The Outer Worlds 2 is excellent, with great gunplay and combat that include an impressive variety of guns and weapons that you can use to defeat your foes in Arcadia. The general RPG mechanics like levelling up, skills, flaws, and upgrades to you and your companions are terrific, making you want to get the next upgrade or new weapon. The visuals and graphics are breathtaking, with vast and varied, beautifully crafted worlds and planets that you will come across on your travels in Arcadia. The music and sound design are fantastic, and also include three radio stations you can listen to, with a lot of different styles of music that fit the setting of the game and its factions. Something I didn’t like about the game, as I wrote before, is that it sometimes limits your choices. In an RPG of this scale, I would expect that you could approach situations in a variety of ways, but a lot of the time you are left feeling that you can’t choose how you want to handle a quest or a conflict in the game, being pushed into a certain limited way that the developers chose for you, which makes you feel like you are doing something you didn’t really want to do in that situation. In addition, I experienced a lot of crashes during loading screens. While the game runs great and looks great most of the time, entering a loading screen would sometimes cause a crash that forced me to reload the game. One more gripe I would note is the difficulty of the game and the AI of its enemies. The game felt easy most of the time (even though I played on hard difficulty), with the enemies’ AI sometimes being poor and lacking. In conclusion, The Outer Worlds 2 is an excellent RPG and a worthy sequel, even though it has some shortcomings. I would recommend it to anyone who is seeking a great RPG with a strong setting and universe that will give you many hours of enjoyment and thought-provoking ideas. ===8.5/10===
Nota: 8/10.
