Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Congrats guys, with all that technology, extra education and skills you have, you managed to make a game even worse than the original, made decades ago. If i wanted to be brainwashed about race, gender and sterotypes id go watch a disney movie, dont put it in my games.
Not worth the $10 I paid. Playing on pc, I feel like I might've been impressed if I had paid $5 to play this on an iPhone4 15 years ago. Text encounters don't cut it as a PC game in 2026. Even though the art is pretty, there basically aren't animations beyond the absolute basics. Also the rules are too arbitrary. Buy several sets of single-use clothes, because you either throw out old clothes or get sick. Harmonica will improve morale, but it is a single-use item. Childish, unrealistic and politically correct to the point of being painful. Might be useful to help small children learn history, develop reading skills and learn about danger and death. Not entertaining for this veteran gamer.

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I finished a run and the game said that I didn't. I didn't quit out of the game early, I saw the game reward me for completion of the run before it sent me back to the main menu and wiped 3 hours from my run. Game is ultimately very boring and samey, takes far too long to complete a run even if you're ignoring a lot of the events due to said bordem.
Great homage to the classic. Adds to without taking away, the increased complexity is engaging and not distracting or annoying at all. Great job all around!
I grew up playing The Oregon Trail. My favorite one was The Oregon Trail Deluxe. To me this feels like an upgraded version of the ones made by MECC.
The Oregon Trail, as it has always been, is a game of absolute misery.
I bought this on sale for the lulz and I'm honestly surprised at how fun & addicting it is. Every time I complete a journey I want to start the next one right away so I can apply what I learned on my last trip!
Very fun and has some elements true to the older games!
“This land belonged to the native nations long before any of us arrived, and every stone, river, and canyon still whispers their names. You can bury history under concrete, but you cannot silence it. The land keeps its own ledger.”

I’ve always wanted to play The Oregon Trail. Generations of Americans have sworn blind it’s the hardest game ever made — a rite of passage, a childhood trauma, a dysentery‑flavoured badge of honour. And maybe that was true once. But this updated version? It’s not the child‑killing spreadsheet of legend. It’s actually… endearing. The UI is clean. The characters feel alive. You get proper freedom in how you build your little wagon crew health management, survival skills, and even a mechanic I can only describe as “stop being a miserable bastard”. It’s simple, but it’s warm. It’s got that frontier charm without the frontier cruelty.

I’ve always loved reading stories from the old trails, but I’ll be honest: I was never the kid cheering for the cowboys. I was the one scalping them in the schoolyard re-enactments, doing a war cry loud enough to get told off by a dinner lady. So stepping into a game that actually acknowledges the land, the people, and the history even lightly feels like a welcome shift. When I was in primary school, about 9 years old, we had a similar thing, but it didn’t work properly. that game was about environmental destruction; it was basically a plagiarised Ferngully, but it was bugged. And me being me, I broke the game by going into the files and skipping the broken section. It worked for me, but it broke it for everyone else. I told them how to do it, but my teacher, Mrs Jagger the sheep‑shagger, banned me from the computers. ^^
I somehow survived my first playthrough. Don’t ask me how. But I love this game! Super great for days where you don’t know what you want to play.
