Sinopsis

This is a free Walking Sim with very good graphics, and is done in first-person view. However, moving the camera around may cause some motion sickness in sensitive people. I'm not super sensitive, so luckily it only made me a little uncomfortable and I was able to play through. Even though the game is short, you can make manual saves, and I suggest you do so in case of clipping. The first time I went to explore the lighthouse, as I was leaving I somehow clipped through the safety handrail and became stuck on the other side. I could not move more than a couple of feet, and was forced to restart the game, therefore I lost about 20 to 25 minutes of progress and had to redo everything. According to reviews, several people have had problems with clipping. You play as an important businessman, Jeremy Parker. His private jet (or maybe it's a company jet) goes down over the ocean. You awaken on the wooden pier of an island which is about the size of a large city block. On this island is the remains of a 2-story house, a bunker-looking building which contains the electrical power source, a lighthouse, a cave, and a radio tower. There are also 2 rusty trucks from the 1940's sitting around. You can walk anywhere on the island in about 2 minutes, so there is no reason for these trucks to even be here. Anyways... so this island has been deserted for a long time now, but was apparently the site of some top secret spectral communications experiments by a giant corporation know as Cerberus Electronics. There is no tutorial, or any instructions on what to do. However, as with many Walking Sims, you do a LOT of running back and forth doing mundane tasks (find 3 torn note pieces to get a safe combination, find 3 ingredients to make a torch, combine inventory objects, etc). Even so, you probably won't figure it all out without looking for hints in a walkthough/achievement guide. There are no trading cards, but there are 9 achievements, and they can all be gotten on the 1st try (or 2nd try if you miss a few the first time). After you get them though, there is no replayability. However... bonus... even though this is a free game, the achievements DO count on your Profile. The game should take you between 40 to 60 minutes if you don't have any glitches. There is not any kind of good fleshed-out story here, and I was not impressed with what little there was. Overall, this game is not very immersive or engaging. I did not feel any urgency, any tension, or that there was any mystery which needed solved. I was merely doing boring busywork tasks, hoping that in the end I could get the radio to work so that I could use it to call for my rescue.
Made by a small indie team, so some flaws are expected. It looks promising at first, but quickly turns into a confusing walk through empty environments with little to do. It feels unfinished and aimless, like a concept that never became a full game.
♥♥♥♥♥, this is the worst unoptimised piece of ♥♥♥♥ I've played to this date. Unity engine should be banned from ever being used for a game. Story is relatively good but because of the framerate I couldn't collect my nerves to walk around and look for tiny little pieces of paper that I wouldn't have found without a guide anyway.

I have mixed feelings about this game. It has a really interesting story and a nice atmosphere, which I really liked. However, the gameplay is terrible. The game doesn’t tell you a damn thing or guide you at any point. If it weren’t for the 100% achievements guide in the community, I’d still be wandering around the map, wondering what to do next. I played it on low graphics and didn’t encounter any performance problems, unlike many other people who said they did. If you’re going to play this, keep your expectations low and don’t hesitate to follow the guide posted in the community. About the story... just play the game, it's the only nice thing about it. I’d give away big spoilers if I talked about it, because you’re meant to discover it as the game progresses.
If you like easy quests and simple reflections on the meaning of life...
