Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.14/day in the week to Aug 31 → 6.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Quality metroidvania game. Chiptunes, pixel art, funny dialog, challenging platforming and bosses. This is a good game.

Finished the liner part of this game. It feel like playing a NES Ninja Gaiden game. The action and platform was not as good but the humorous dialogue had its unique charm. Took 4 hours to beat the liner part of the game which was great! NOW! From here game become metroidvania for absolutely no reason. 1. One last ability upgrade requires finding OVER 40 COLLECTABLE COINS! 2. Portal are not accessible without going through half of the same level that have already explored 3. Vague hints for next goal, a map marker cost 300 time shard per hint. 4. No more funny dialogue. Get the game on a discount and exit when the metroidvania starts.
I'd grabbed this on GoG awhile back and was disappointed that it didn't have any achievements.. Gave up waiting on them to be implemented and grabbed it on steam to get them good ole achievements and have a good reason to play it again. Money well spent.

This is one of my favorite games ever! Reminds me when I was a kid playing Ninja Gaiden on the NES but this game has a ton of humor. The platforming is challenging but super fun, in my opinion. Also, the storyline is one of the best and the musical score is simply amazing. Tight and responsible controls, awesome music, great graphics, superb story telling, and a free DLC, makes The Messenger an absolute MUST HAVE for fans of the genre. 10/10 easily!
Way too old school and NESy even for a grown up like me. It feels like there's no challenge to it. The narration is another downside - why did it have to be hollywood stupid?
Nudni bossowie których bijesz po 15 min, denerwujące elementy platformowe, irytująca muzyka po dłuższym czasie, co tu więcej pisać? Szkoda czasu i prądu, już lepiej przejść drugi raz inną lepszą metroidvanie.
