Picking up shortly after The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Estelle travels across Liberl in search of Joshua. The journey involves more than seeking loved ones, however, as the Bracer Guild also tasks her with unraveling the mysteries behind the newly unveiled Society of Ouroboros.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A Masterpiece. A natural evolution of FC in terms of system, more balanced elements, expanded skills, more playable characters, ease to have standby characters catch up in levels. The straightforward system makes it a blast to explore the small region again, beating everything that moves with the big stick. Cute chibi sprites, memorable soundtrack, easy to follow story....SC did many things right. So....why is there a third one? On to the next one!
"One step at a time! We'll walk it together to the end!"**
There's something very personal and utterly endearing about Estelle as a protagonist that you just cannot get in any other game, and any kind of organic storytelling such as Falcom's Trails. Estelle is, without a doubt, my top 2 female protagonist in gaming (t1 being Terra Branford). Trails in the Sky SC is an experience to forever remember. Never witnessed a jprg this complete and intricate in its world along with its heavily inter-connected dialogue where every line just adds an organic flavor no other jrpg can. The sequel really enhances almost everything FC had built upon, from the Orbment system upgrades, to gratifying character arcs, to one of the most insane story & world-building heights in gaming. The cast we grew with in FC were tested to their limits in SC, bringing eureka moments for the cast with each of their own transformative arcs. SC delivers a most satisfying ending to a fully flourished region of the Liberl Kingdom, and oh boy, I can't wait to see the cutscene fights of SC in the remake Second Chapter. Thank you Nihon Falcom. FC introduced me to the Trails series. SC made solidified this as MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FRANCHISE. P.S. Can we just take a moment to acknowledge and thank the Trails series, the only franchise to have Olivier Lenheim? Olivier is legitmately the most unique, well-thoughtout, masterfully written and entertaining jrpg character ever. Every scene of him is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ masterpiece. Good game.
A great classic jrpg, great game overall
En mi opinion, el mejor de la primera trilogía con un desenlace super chulo. Todo lo demas, muy en la linea de lo que propone el primero.
TitS 1 was a good game. TitS 2 is a very good game. I can't speak for the 3D remakes, but you'd have a great time play the originals. If you played the first chapter and you feel even an inkling about playing more, buy this.
I was too impatient waiting for the Second Chapter remake, so I bought this on impulse during a sale. This game is amazing, one the best JRPGs I've ever played. Looking forward for the remake.
I know most people who are going to get into the series are going to play the updated versions. For the amount of time you will put into it, you might as well play the newer versions. I plan to finish the series in its original form because I started it that way, but I'll keep my review here version agnostic. Trails in the Sky is a great story. Get the first game first, because this is just more onto the same story, must like ToCS 2. But this delivers on the plot much better than that. Rather than just bringing the characters back for more, it genuinely feels like they wrote the whole story at once and then broke it up into 3 digestible parts afterward (like Zork). The quality never dips, even across a series of games that each last about 3x as long as most JRPGs do. It is a time commitment to finish, but a highly rewarding one. The gameplay is a similar to the newer games but feels more exact because of the use of the grid. Some new mechanics added to the already great building system which feels a lot like an evolved FF7 schema. Difficulty is high for a JRPG but there are a lot of tools at your disposal to strategize and the game balance is very well done. When I got stuck at a boss for a long time, it was because I needed to master a mechanic better. Super rewarding when you wreck them. TLDNR: Legend of Heroes is my current favorite JRPG series and this one of the better games of it.
Best sequel I've ever played and one of the best games I've played to date. Great story, great music, classic fun combat with some experimentation in builds and variety, and is something I wish we got more of. Follows up on FC perfectly. All of the characters down to the individual NPCs have their own story going on that you can follow along with as your own progresses. I expect the remake to do it justice, but the chibi art + jpn dialogue patch are all you need to visualize what's going on. Has fishing, gambling, and baking too!!!!!!!!
