Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In February 2000, a small city was suddenly overrun by hostile creatures. Two AMS agents, James Taylor and Gary Stewart, were sent to investigate. Upon arrival, they noticed that the situation resembled the Curien Mansion incident from 1998. Determined to uncover the source of the infestation, they began shooting their way through hordes of creatures.

Significantly worse than the first game. Bosses are less interesting and the first couple levels interrupt the action with cutscenes nonstop.
Uh yeah I hoped this would be as decent as the house of the dead 1 remake but as of now It very much is not Really weird performance dips in any level with water! They made Zeal much harder to hit than it was in the original or wii version lol The voices are WAY WORSE somehow, tho that is still fun. The environments, admittedly, are way way way more reactive than in the hotd1 remake, lots of secrets and items and all that. That IS fun. Also why the hell is goldman like, texan now. What. Adding points because it does let you use the original soundtrack, would go from like, 6/10 as of now to 8/10 if it also let you use the original voices, It is a mess! I hope they can improve it. Get it when it is Super Cheap.

This one sucks balls, MAJORLY. Somehow plays worser than the first remake which is funny. I think music's fine, a bit too rock heavy, which is weird since the OG tracks are more electronic. Still, found it jarring they didn't do remixes for ALL the tracks since CH05's theme (Dawn) is NOT remixed. (Which, ya know what, good. The best Dawn remix is the one in HOD4 and nothing can top that.) Bosses are a bit difficult, which, a good challenge but also a damn slogfest. Zombies sometimes NEVER react to getting shot at, which let them able to get 1 free hit on me. I find that super annoying. Again, I have no idea how they fumbled this one despite having everything worked really well for HOTD1 Remake. Also, WHY IS EVERYONE'S FROM THE SOUTH? THEY GOT THAT GODDANG YEEHAW ACCENT? I THOUGHT WE'RE IN VENICE??? But yea, Not recommended, even in short bursts. Save your money. Go get HOTD1 Remake instead. It plays better and it's cheaper. Go find the original HOTD2 game, heck even Typing Of The Dead (the OG one) too. This game's a landfill waste.
Ещё один гештальт детства закрыт. Это было весело.
Dank diverser updates ist das Spiel mittlerweile ein würdiges Remake des Orginals. Beleuchtung, Ragdolls und overall House of the Dead feeling passen jetzt für mich. <<<<ich bin ein hardcore HOD Fan seit der Dreamcast Version und habe alle Teile inkl. Scarlett Dawn ( Arcade Version ) gespielt. Von daher eine klare Kaufempfehlung für Fans der Reihe.
I'll admit, I like the OG better. It's okay... but... the mouse definitely has trouble registering clicks for this game. Faithful and a good idea as a remake but still needs work. The music is awesome with Sega giving permission which is cool. Unfortunately, I cannot say this is something I can give to people new to this series. Unless you wish to try it, I recommend the OG, I grinded so much on the WII game, THOTD 2&3 Return, It's not even funny! Or emulate that IDC. Either way, this would be the first time I review a game to give poor feedback. It's not a bad idea for nostalgia but execution still needs work. Sorry MegaPixel Studios S. A., good idea but execution is maybe 6/10 for awesome music, alright visuals but poor controls. *Edit, okay I take it back, my mouse is not clicking properly itself. So this earned it's points back by 2. At least with a controller option it's still playable. Keep up the good work! New Score: 8/10
i loved this game in the arcade. i love the remake of the first one was great, but this one is not great i got to the final boss and no matter what I did I even thought I forgot how to beat it so I looked it up but nothing I did worked
YEAH
The House of the Dead 2: Remake (2025) — это бюджетный ремейк классического рельсового шутера, который проходится за 40 минут. Как и в случае с единицей, разработчики проделали хорошую работу, вернув мне ощущение драйва от отстрела зомби на аркадном автомате. А что ещё надо? Добротно. 7/10
