Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 8 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2: Remake is a remake of the second entry in the well-known and popular rail-shooter series. Take on the lone role of a secret agent as James or Gary, or team up in co-op mode to neutralize the dangerous undead monsters standing in your way.
In February 2000, a small city was suddenly overrun by hostile creatures. Two AMS agents, James Taylor and Gary Stewart, were sent to investigate. Upon arrival, they noticed that the situation resembled the Curien Mansion incident from 1998. Determined to uncover the source of the infestation, they began shooting their way through hordes of creatures.

REFUNDED!!! This Game is a pure Disappointment as a Remake! I had high hopes that all the negative Reviews would not be so accurate, but I was simply wrong... Buyers beware! This Game is nowhere near the original Game! This Remake feels soulless, unfinished, unpolished and very bugged! Gunshots feel like Pellets from a BB Gun, Shots don't feel as they had any Impact, Damage Textures feel wrong... If I remember correctly I was able to shoot parts of Legs off Zombies, but had no success trying to do this in the Remake. Legs seemed very attached to Mr. Zombie... In my Memory the Damage Models were far superior in the Original! All in all a very disappointing Remake, which I did not like at all... Glad it took me only 20 Minutes of Gametime to realise this (30 Minutes were not Playtime but trying to fix messed up Sound Issues), so a quick Refund was possible. Might Buy again if the Game is on Sale between 0,99€- 2,49€ as this is the only Price thats fair for the Quality you get... P.S. The first Remake is better and more finished and I did not refund...;-)
THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2
Предыдущий обзор, где я осветил основные ощущения и улучшения в HotD. В целом, вторая часть не сильно отличается от первой, так что лучше будет просто глянуть отзыв на первую часть
THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake

6.5/10
THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2: Remake pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on //good amount of action and special effects cons: //some difficult battles/boss battles //some overpowered enemies //sometimes enemies attack too fast //sometimes the game is too fast //sometimes shot registration is slow and the enemy still hits you //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $2.49 Or Less During Sale extra notes: //On-the-rails shooter fighting enemy horrors in an overrun city //You are an agent/detective investigating the roots of the evil //fire and reload your weapon quickly with accuracy to eliminate the new breed of evil //rescue and protect people along the way and communicate with your allies to open up new leads
I don't know how much time has passed, but I remember when I was little and I struggled to beat THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2. When I saw that the remake of the first part came out, I was already waiting for the second one anyway. It's my childhood memory, I finished the remake in just 40 minutes, really fast on my first try. That just shows I still remember this game perfectly after so many years. Was it worth it? I'll say this much: if someone played the old version, they'll like this one too. Miauk.
That was fun but build and sell me a proper light gun to play it with and my money is yours :)
Negative review is based on the fact that there is a game breaking bug for me where it freezes up when I'm about a third of the way through the health of the final boss. Verifying the integrity of the game files doesn't fix it and it happens every single time, so I can't complete the game. Will change to positive if this gets fixed though as I definitely don't hate these remakes even if the original arcade versions were better.
This one sucks balls, MAJORLY. Somehow plays worser than the first remake which is funny. I think music's fine, a bit too rock heavy, which is weird since the OG tracks are more electronic. Still, found it jarring they didn't do remixes for ALL the tracks since CH05's theme (Dawn) is NOT remixed. (Which, ya know what, good. The best Dawn remix is the one in HOD4 and nothing can top that.) Bosses are a bit difficult, which, a good challenge but also a damn slogfest. Zombies sometimes NEVER react to getting shot at, which let them able to get 1 free hit on me. I find that super annoying. Again, I have no idea how they fumbled this one despite having everything worked really well for HOTD1 Remake. Also, WHY IS EVERYONE'S FROM THE SOUTH? THEY GOT THAT GODDANG YEEHAW ACCENT? I THOUGHT WE'RE IN VENICE??? But yea, Not recommended, even in short bursts. Save your money. Go get HOTD1 Remake instead. It plays better and it's cheaper. Go find the original HOTD2 game, heck even Typing Of The Dead (the OG one) too. This game's a landfill waste.
Remake ini bagusnya cuma buat nostalgia kalau kangen The House of The Dead dan ingin seru seruan main arcade.
Significantly worse than the first game. Bosses are less interesting and the first couple levels interrupt the action with cutscenes nonstop.
