Incredible depth of the puzzles. Puzzles on puzzles on puzzles, and a beautiful, charming story to boot!
Fun indie game with a cool concept. Great setting. If you like puzzle games and character exploration, this is for you. Some weird bugs and glitches, but that's expected from such a small team. Overall, it's a great cheap indie game if you can get it on sale.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So far, The Forgotten City is my favorite game of the decade. It's extremely spoiler-sensitive, so it's hard to review properly without ruining the experience. I'll just try to give an idea of what to expect.

The game started as a Skyrim mod, and you can feel those TES roots. Navigation and general interface design are pretty TES-like, so TES fans will feel right at home.
It's more of a detective game than a traditional RPG. There is some action, but minor part of the game and for most part optional. The core gameplay is investigation, deduction, and understanding the world.
It's a pure joy for anyone interested in archaeology or ancient history. The setting isn't just generic "sandalpunk" — the antique world is recreated with great care, and you can examine artifacts from all sides and learn about many historical details.
The plot is insanely good. Twists are mind-blowing: one of the best stories in gaming history (much better than Planescape: Torment, IMHO).
It's open-world in a sense that you can go wherever you want and act in the order you wish (after short prologue). However, the "world" itself is quite small. Which is not an issue since it's heavily packed and very-very deep.
Short, unique, and unforgettable. Highly recommended.
The game had a strong start, but upon reaching one of the endings I had a kind of a "That's it?" Moment. I'm glad I stuck with it, because the proper ending to this game is actually really good, the rare kind that is equal parts simple and satisfying. To put a bit more detail on the game itself, the gameplay is very simple, the graphics are janky, and you don't really do much of anything in practice beyond "Go here and talk to this person", yet the game manages to achieve so much with so little, and I'm not quite sure how it's able to do that. I think the writing, story, setting and characters are all very well done, and that may well be the game's secret, but I like to think the jank contributes to the experience.
Would recommend.
Cool adventure/puzzle game involving a time loop done in a way that isn't tedious or annoying and doesn't get in the way of exploration like in some similar games. Recommended.

Love this game! I expected it to be a lot more repetitive with the time loop aspect, but they really thought ahead and made it so you don't have to repeat content unnecessarily. Very cool game, highly recommend!
Güzeldi ama Cinema değildi 6.5/10
