The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

Great game! Was hooked the whole way through. Ending was interesting. This could be a great novel or movie too !

女主过于爱爹，爹昏迷25年爱的要死，妈独自把她带大各种抱怨，自己硬莽被人坑了还怪妈不告诉她真相，大量爱爹闪回看着真是烦。

I finished this story after about 8 hours. Probably could have been a bit faster if I wasn't dumb a few times and kept missing certain things... This is a really cool story, marked by incredible voice acting. If you like Lovecraftian horror, this is right up that alley. I can't say anymore, other than you really need to play this. The only flaw is that much of the game is spent doing what amounts to fetch quests that get... a bit boring if you take too long with it. It has a really great growing dread feel, but it did almost lag out for a bit. But then the climax hits and its nothing but wonderful from that point on. I won't go back and chase the few optional achievements, but you can if you like. There are some you can miss. The story though only has one outcome, if that matters. Overall an incredible story game, one of the best written and voice acted ones I've played in a long time. Very well done.

If you enjoy point and click adventure games, HP Lovecraft-style stories and the English countryside, you'll love this excellent adventure. The graphics are lo-fi to help establish a mood, but like all of the games published by Wadjet Eye, the writing, characters and voice acting are all top-notch! I also don't want to spoil the story, but brace yourself for an amazing and very fitting ending as you plumb the mysteries of Hob's Barrow.

Maybe my favorite point and click game, though I used a controller. :-) The art, atmosphere and full voice acting were all superb. Nothing was too tedious. Nothing was nonsensical or unnecessarily difficult, making me need to look up a walkthrough. I really hope to see another game from this team. Hopefully something close to folk horror but I'd be happy w/ any genre if it's done with the same care and features. I actually played this game in bed w/ a gamepad, on my tablet using Steam Link. I was enjoying it so much I play in 1-2 hour increments because I loved looking forward to playing it so much!

Highly recommended game for fans of folk horror! When I first read the cast line-up, I was excited already. The visual design is so interesting and beautiful and grotesque at the same time. The puzzles are hard in a fun way and the lore is really cool. Has very beautiful takes on trauma and ethical archaeology.

really exceptional, I wish I could play it more. I enjoyed the voice acting and the soundscapes quite a lot, as well as all the characters. I only wish the sound mixing for The Changeling was better! I can barely hear the words! would love to play it for the first time again.....
