Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman is writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures she finds buried within. When an intriguing letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay, tucked away in the remote countryside, she sets off by train with her assistant a day behind.
Upon her arrival, however, the mysterious man who summoned her is nowhere to be found. Her assistant never arrives. A stubborn landowner refuses access to the barrow, and the locals are wary of this woman who is traveling alone and (gasp!) wears trousers.
The excavation of Hob’s Barrow is off to a rocky start. And then Thomasina starts having strange dreams…

A dark, complex and evolving storyline featuring interwoven elements from real English folklore.
Traditional point and click adventure game puzzles and interactions, with an easy modern interface.
A cast of intriguing characters, from suspicious villagers to sickly vicars to lordly landowners, all with their own unique stories and motives.
A distinct folk horror tone and grounding.
Evocative pixel-art graphics, featuring cut-scenes and engaging animations.
A suitably atmospheric original soundtrack from The Machine. The Demon. - one half of the duo behind the award-winning "Football Game" soundtrack.
Fiends in the furrows, the smell of damp soil, and a cat or two.

For a point a click you’d think they’d be aware of the “hit boxes” for certain “puzzles” , the tower key, and plaque is soooo bad I thought I had a game breaking bug. After looking at forums/ discussions I saw I was a millimeter off clicking the right plaque!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not impressed, here's my breakdown: Gameplay: Endless dialogue instead of solving puzzles. Annoyingly, one also has to talk to certain people in order to activate puzzles and pick up certain objects. If not for that, it could be finished in no time at all, the puzzles are mostly easy. The constant flashbacks are annoying. There are artificial wait times when a dialogue ends until you can click again. I got the impression that they were trying to artificially increase game length, because puzzle-wise it doesn't offer much substance, and the map is also on the smaller size (which isn't bad per se). Nevertheless a beginner friendly game, completable in 5 hours. GFX/Audio: The graphics are appealing but the quality of the character animations decreases sharply towards the end. The music and sound effects didn't convince me, I soon had it on mute. The voice acting was ok. Story: The story creates tension through the obvious secret you are heading towards and manages to develop charm in some passages. However, other parts seem quite artificial, not to be taken seriously or were even off the mark. Most importantly however I found the ending tasteless and inappropriate. I'd even call it an anti-game. This CAN work as e.g. Dan Simmons Carrion Comfort shows but here it simply backfires. The script author blundered on this one. If not for this ending, it would be worth it's price

Storytelling a full.
a point and click with old school vibes. You are able to do different dialogue choices, which can make you feel more in character, but ultimantly don't actually change anything. There is only 1 ending, and whilst i confused the f outta me, I think I understood. and wouldn't be the outcome I would have chosen... can't help to feel slightly ripped off at the end.
Persevere with day one and then a wonderful story unfolds. Beautiful bit of art.

good gaem
The best point n click game ever made, since every puzzle is challenging and fair. The graphic and sound effect work well, building a terrific atmosphere. The ending leaves a bitter after-tone for the gamers, but I guess that's what make it unforgettable and what the developer intend to achieve.
