Yes, it is bit of a ripoff of some cult games, but it has great atomsphere (I played it before, cracked, that's why I'm recommending this after few minutes), it is a horrible PC port, but the game works well with few tweaks, you have to: 1. Put this in your launch options: "+com_allowconsole 1 +vt_maxaniso 4 +r_swapinterval 0 +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +r_windowed 1 +r_fullscreen 0 +m_smooth 0" 2. Download and setup "Flawless widescreen" software (if you don't, you don't need the +r_windowed 1 and +r_fullscreen 0, but you won't have good FOV) 3. In properties -> compatibility of EvilWithin.exe set High DPI scaling override with Application selected 4. Don't turn your mouse sensitivity too low in game options, or you will have super choppy mouse navigation in menu (just tune down your mouse DPI instead). 5. If you have 2 monitors, note that in resolution the last number is your monitor, but the numbers can be in wrong order (my monitor 1 is 2 in the game). 6. Disable G-Sync / FreeSync for this game (optional)

Unfortunately I did not enjoy playing this game. While the basic combat is pretty fun, the increasing amount of instant death scenarios made the game more and more exhausting to play. The game also features button mashing and frequently blasts you with bright screens, which in a horror game is not a good idea. I did enjoy the games story, atmosphere and exploration, though. I played it on Steam only for few hours, but I completed it on Epic Game Store, which has supposedly a better version of the game.

Nehme seit Jahren immer wieder Anlauf das Spiel fortzusetzen. Während ich im Spiel bin fühle ich mich meist permanent unwohl und bin gestresst (so wie es sein soll, i guess). Habe bei einzelnen Abschnitten nicht gecheckt, worum es eigentlich geht bzw was der Handlungsstrang insgesamt ist, ich denke dafür muss man im Spiel weiter fortgeschritten sein. Die Perspektive aus der dritten Person ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und nicht ganz mein Fall, passt hier aber sehr gut. Durch den Aufbau der Einzelnen Kapitel wird man durch die Map geführt, d.h. es gibt nicht viel Raum für weitere Erkundungen, weil man subtil in einem bestimmten Bereich gehalten wird (zB durch Häuser, Felswände etc die den begehbaren Weg begrenzen). Die Grafik ist düster und sieht im Jahr 2026 immer noch gut aus. Auch die Atmosphäre ist sehr beklemmend, die Verfolgungsszenen lassen keinen Raum für Fehler (das ist für mich ein positiver Punkt, weil es den Stresslevel erhöht + meist ist kurz vorher ein Speicherpunkt ;)) und es gibt eine interessante Mischung aus Cutscenes und eigentlichem Spiel. Die Story ist mit Sicherheit sehr ausgeklügelt, mir persönlich ist das Spiel ein bisschen zu viel, als dass ich es lang am Stück spielen kann. Trotzdem gut gemacht, s.o. :)

Сын резиков и сайлент хиллов. местами очень душные миссии ( зачем-то некоторые вообще в перестрелки зделали как в гта, но их мало ) , но вайбик хоррора присуствует и очень приятна бродить по локациям, иследовать и т.д. Разве что сюжетка может оттолкнуть своей запутанной подачей, но ближе к середине игры привикаешь к очередной шизе на экране. Жаль в 2 части убрали вообще всю атмосферу игры.
