Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Coin Game is a fun-filled arcade adventure on an island packed with ticket games, quirky robots, and endless activities. Explore realistic arcades with machines inspired by modern favorites and swap your tickets for prizes at redemption areas. Head to Larry's Arcade to jam with animatronics Teddy and the Ticket Eaters, or try UFO Arcade's space-themed games, Laser Tag, and Indoor Go-Karting. Don’t miss the ‘90s-style indoor mall with its own arcade, food court, shops, and even a cinema to watch your own movies. Just watch out for the minions – they’re big fans of Teddy and can challenge you in Laser Tag! Looking for more adventure? Make a splash at Lenny's WaterPark or show your skills at mini-golf and RC boat racing at pirate-themed One Eyed Billie’s. And don’t forget the Traveling Carnival with 20+ classic games, rides, and new prizes.
For a challenge, Survivor Mode lets you start with limited funds. Keep an eye on your health and energy (right on your wristwatch) by grabbing food around the island. Jerry’s got the healthy stuff if you can afford it, but junk food’s always cheap!
Run out of money? Scavenge dumpsters, hop on your bike and deliver newspapers around the island, or hit up the Pawn Shop to sell extra prizes. Otherwise you might have to beg Uncle Phil for some extra allowance!
If you just want to relax, activate Birthday Mode and live the good life with unlimited cash courtesy of Uncle Phil. Play however you like and enjoy your time at the arcades! Fill your belly with soda pop and cheesy poofs leaving sticky fingerprints on over 50 different games and machines.
There are plenty of ways to travel around the island. Take the bus, your very own golf cart, bike or Mom's van. Or maybe walk to burn all that fast food you just had at the mall. Be careful though, there is lots of highway traffic and tourist activity on the island so make sure to keep off the roads.
You can play The Coin Game with any mouse, keyboard or any Dual stick/pad controller. The game includes an easy to use key mapping system to support virtually any controller or peripheral. So you can play The Coin Game any way that you like.

Returned it after about 40 minutes. I didn't play the early access so I can't compare, but this was TERRIBLE. In no way is this a full release. Movement was horrible. Audio cut in and out, mostly silent. The games aren't smooth which takes away from the fun. Everything is janky, the driving is unbelievably bad. I was over it within 15 minutes. The early access page stated 1.0 would have multiplayer; it doesn't. Did they give up on it?
The console and 1.0 release is so bad I can no longer recommend this game. Even on PS5 pro it runs like you’re swimming thru a river of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

cant pause, cant quit to menu, cant use a controller even though it says it is supported, unbelievably buggy, put it into 1.0 in the worst state the game has ever been in, the go-kart race is a total lie, it doesn't actually keep track of your position at all. achievements like "ride 100 rides" exist which is just do nothing at all for ~5 hours of real time except continuously pay to get on the ride and sit and wait. Same thing for play 100 days. There are way better games to spend your money on.
1.0 and still no resolutions options whatsoever bffr
The Coin Game - 1.0 Review The 1.0 release of The Coin Game is a disappointment for many, and I have to agree. After waiting so long, the full version feels rushed (likely due to the new publisher) and doesn’t offer much improvement over the Early Access build — in fact, it introduced several new bugs. At first, the game ran okay for me. I tried the new Survival mode and the Sandbox Birthday mode. Unfortunately, Survival mode boils down to a very basic and repetitive grind. You earn a fixed amount of royalties every time you buy and reopen an arcade. New players might feel lost, as the game doesn’t clearly explain what to do or where to go. There are treasures to dig up and some simple jobs/tasks for making money, but the progression feels shallow. One major issue is how exploitable the game is. You can easily farm $50 headphones at Larry’s Arcade on the Stack ‘Em machine if you know what you're doing. This makes most other games feel pointless to play. While some arcade machines naturally pay out more than others, the difference is often too extreme. After a few days in Survival mode, the bugs became much more noticeable. Finishing the golf game permanently disabled my collisions, causing me to constantly fall through the map. The physics (which were reverted due to issues with the coin pushers) broke vehicle inventory carrying and likely other systems as well. Fall damage triggers far too easily, and movement feels extremely janky — I was rubber-banding around the map like I was playing on a high-ping server [EDIT: This may have been due to a weird driver bug I had]. Even pausing the game doesn’t actually pause it. The added content also isn’t as substantial as I had hoped, though I understand this is an indie dev. A major patch dropped on March 27th, but it didn’t fix nearly enough. The March 30th patch is still improving the game, but there's still some crucial bug fixes needed. It’s crazy to think the game launched in an even worse state. Some of these issues are already acknowledged by the developer, so there’s hope for future fixes and they have been putting in effort so far. However, in its current state, I’d honestly rather play the pre-1.0 Early Access version in some ways. Final Verdict: I can only recommend The Coin Game once these major issues are fixed. The game has a lot of charm and nails that classic arcade atmosphere, but the bugs and shallow survival gameplay make it hard to enjoy right now.
Not ready for 1.0, game feels worse now than it did a long time ago. I assume Kwalee pushed them to launch without doing any QA. Also, a new EULA has popped up that wasn't here before, which I really don't appreciate. I've refunded games because of EULAs before, and I feel kind of swindled now that I'm now being forced to sign a contract long after I purchased the game since I can't refund it now. This isn't just me standing on principle, there's a section that says they can change, suspend, remove, or disable access to the game or my content for ANY reason. Like, seriously? Read EULAs before you purchase games. It's a contract, you should know what you're signing up for before you just click Agree. You'll be surprised how many rights you're giving up just to play a game. Screw that.
game soft locks itself any time you try to redeem your won tickets
I loved this game during its time in Early Access, LOVED it, so it truly pains me to say this but as of right now I cannot recommend this game. The 1.0 update seems to have fundamentally broken key parts of the game: performance is worse, physics is worse, progression is worse, and bugs are worse. Just about every part of the game that got changed for 1.0 is worse than it was in E.A.. It's really disappointing to see such a well regarded and well liked Early Access title get pushed to release before its actually done. I put almost 50 hours into the Early Access of this game. I loved this game when it was being sold as a work in progress, but if this is what they consider a "finished" game then I cannot and will not recommend this to anyone. Do not buy this right now. If the idea of an Arcade Simulator is interesting to you, wishlist this and see if they actually fix the post-launch issues. Give it a few months, that's what I plan to do, but whatever you do... DO. NOT. BUY. THIS. UNFINISHED. GAME.

I can't recommend this game for now, especially for Steam Deck owners. After the 1.0 update, it no longer works on the Steam Deck. There were already problems before the update, but at least the game still worked back then. When 1.0 rolled in, there is just black screen now. I hope the developer would address this.
