It was fine, good story, sad, if you enjoyed the brothers story or are about to play it, I recommend it
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a small game, but it honestly has a lot more heart than I expected. It looks like a simple superhero adventure about a kid playing around with his imagination, but there's a much deeper story hiding underneath. Playing as Chris and exploring his house is probably the best part. Turning normal things into superhero missions feels really believable, and it captures that childhood feeling where your imagination can make anything exciting. The little details around the house also tell a lot about his life without needing to explain everything. The gameplay is pretty simple. You mostly walk around, interact with things, and solve small puzzles. It's not something you play for the mechanics, you play it for the story and the atmosphere. My only problem is that it's really short. I wanted more time with Chris and his world because by the time you start getting attached, it's already over. But for something that's basically a small experience, it does its job well. A quiet, emotional game that feels more like a memory than a normal adventure. Definitely worth playing if you enjoyed Life Is Strange or just want something with a lot of heart. 8/10 💖
The way this game paints an image of what trauma looks like, in under 3 hours, is amazing. The portrayal of the child's trauma is realistic and not exaggerated. Even though this game is short, and has no involvement of previous life is strange characters, it still feels like it belongs in the life is strange catalogue. The story itself is surprisingly not easily predictable. I am amazed by the graphics as well as the snowy setting. This is a very good game.
In it's time this served as the demo to Life is Strange 2 before it's release. With that game out now and it's first episode taking up that role, Captain Spirit still serves as an intro to the narrative and DONTNOD's storytelling. Despite only being about an hour in length and two for a completionist run, this game still manages to show a compelling setting. You learn about and feel for Chris in no time at all, and the ending will have you looking forward to the full Life is Strange 2 experience. Play this, but watch out for the Water-Eater.
Ok game, especially considering it's free, but some of the codes you need in the game are a bit difficult to come across, you basically have to think of any and all numbers you would see in order to have a chance to get them right. I really did like how [spoiler] at the end, it briefly leads into LiS 2 and introduces Daniel's power.
Esta bonita esta experiencia, es muy corta pero bastante rejugable para ver todos sus detalles
