I honestly don't know if I've ever cried as hard playing a game as I did playing this. While mechanically rough around the edges, the raw emotional depth of this experience is so visceral, it's almost overwhelming to experience for the first time. Prepare yourself for a family's journey of pain, loss, hope, and faith through an experience based on a true, and gut-wrenching story.
As an atheist, I don't get why this game caused any sort of controversy. I feel that there is a proper time and place to discuss teological problems such as the problem of evil, and the discussion page and reviews of a game made by a christian couple just trying to deal with sad passing away of their son is not that place. Devs, I'm sorry for your loss.

This game really pulls the heartstrings, I can't stop bawling my eyes out
one of the most powerful heart touching and a good message game i have ever played in 2026 i don't wanna spoil it but you have to play it for yourself to take it all in and get the full experience. and yes i do recommend it its a very powerful game 10/10. and yes i did cry at the end but no shame this game touched my heart.
That Dragon, Cancer is nothing revolutionary game design wise but the the vulnerability and just soul that goes into it makes it such an impactful, lasting experience in its 2 hour runtime. In all, a very brave, exceptional project that so potently captures the human experience and that hopefully helps us all heal and become a step better tomorrow.
that was a lot.
Having lost my grandma to cancer, going through and reading all those cards made me truely realize how widespread cancer is. That feeling of watching someone you love slowley wither away from an illness that you can not do anything about except hope and pray is such a restricting feeling. I don't think I will ever play another game like this again. This will always have a special place in my heart.
Its a really beautiful game, it showed the beauty of both faith and hope. I really was changed by this game and have seen how the real value of life is not just what you do, but the time and people it was with..
