About
TerraTech is an open-world, sandbox adventure game, where you design and build your own creations through a mix of crafting, combat and discovery. Design cars, tanks and planes from a huge library of blocks. Scavenge, craft and buy new parts in order to survive and become the ultimate planetary prospector.

Start your career as an Intergalactic prospector in search of profit and glory in Campaign, build to your heart's content in Creative mode or pit your Techs against the clock in the Gauntlet Challenge.

Team up with other intrepid prospectors in Co-op Campaign, build and create together in Co-op Creative, go head-to-head for glory in the Deathmatch Arena or battle for supremacy in Sumo.

Using the building blocks, guns, wheels, and wings from several Mining Corporations, you can build varied Techs to suit every purpose. Be it powerful armoured combat vehicles, unstoppable resource gathering machines, sprawling resource processing bases or a hybrid of all three - creativity is your key to exo-planetary success.

The worlds in TerraTech are procedurally generated and infinite, so there are always new lands to discover and more resources to find. Treacherous mountain ranges, luscious grasslands and huge deserts are among the biomes you will encounter. More will be added as development progresses.

The intergalactic mining industry is a profitable one, but you are not the only miner in search for new worlds to exploit. Defending yourself from rival miners will take time, resources and skill, with success leading to new territory and new lands. All equipable blocks and items can be damaged or destroyed, so ensuring you are sufficiently armed and ready for battle is a key element of both survival and prosperity in TerraTech. Get out there and show them who’s boss!

By gathering and processing natural resources, players are able to construct storage, refining and construction bases in order to craft new blocks in the game. Like the look of that Venture Hail Fire Rifle that just tore your vehicle apart? Go prospecting for the needed resources, and craft a couple for yourself in the shiny new Venture fabricator which you just acquired, by beating their time trial challenge in the nearby mountains.

All exo-planetary prospectors buy parts from the established Mining Corporations, where each have their own specific brand of mining technology. Get the job done with GSO, strip-mine to the max with the heavy-duty GeoCorp, zoom around with high-performance recon specialists Venture, function with military efficiency utilising the stealth focused Hawkeye, gain technological superiority with Enviro-giants Better Future or experiment with the bizarre weaponry of Reticule Research. Completing missions and discovering blocks for each Corp will improve your standing with them, and gain access to the more sought-after components in their arsenal.

I originally pirated this game years ago, after having seen it on YouTube. I played a few hundred hours, and eventually bought the game to keep up with the updates, and support the developers. There are no more updates. The dev work has been moved to TerraTech Worlds and TerraTech Legion from what I can tell, and there will be no more updates for TerraTech given that Worlds was supposed to be a replacement. The game has limitations: engine problems, build size limits as a result, and potential lag sometimes from the sheer scale of calculations that need to occur when massive techs destroy one another. But still, I love the game for what it is, and the gameplay (though repetitive when it comes to what are basically fetch quests outside of the main story, go here and open this crate, fight this guy, defend this guy) offers many opportunities for fun with whatever ungodly over-armed car or hovercraft or whatever thing you make. But the economy in the game is terrible. I know we are space explorers on basically a war-ridden planet, but these blocks simply cost so much to puchase. The other option is crafting: a slow, buggy, and unrewarding process that takes until endgame to fully set up, and is still much slower than just farming money and buying the blocks yourself. But for farming, resources deposits eventually run dry, permanently. What is the point of me building a base if I have to move it every few hours because my mines ran dry? And if not mining materials to sell and farm money, the same problem arises if you were to use them to craft, which is just as slow and grindy and still exhaustible. Just about every useful material comes from an ore vein, which does not respawn like the far less useful trees, above-ground ore deposits in rocks, and Luxite outcrops. Blocks often take dozens of materials (differing materials I should add) that all come from different biomes, some of which may be nowhere near each other, and once you've finally collected them all you get to craft one block. The transportation of these resources is also terrible, you can only compact them into about 100-unit or a few dozen-unit block chunks to put in your storage, otherwise you need to just haul them on a storage collector you stuck on your build. If it's a weapon, it's just one. I don't know any non-compact/minimalist tech that uses like less than 3 of any weapon. If you need hundreds of blocks, good luck emptying your entire reserves for what you could just get from salvaging other techs. So why isn't there a rewarding way to give players the base-building they want? You know, reward them for spending the long hours finding a suitable location that has decent deposits of every needed resource and being able to farm them all, to craft what they need? Oh, because the veins run dry, and they'd just have to move. And they're better off just rebuilding the same exploit miner (see GSO 4-drill on the Steam Workshop) for any individual ore vein, and then go around without a base, pillaging the planet like a bunch of wayward spelunking bandits. I suppose that prospecting is one of the themes of the game, but the non-combat gameplay loop is just oftentimes so unrewarding for it. It's again far easier to just wander, build a small mining and refinery facility for Erudite or whatever is easy money, drill the vein dry, sell that refined resource on the spot, and then leave and use it to buy blocks. Imagine having to go collect hundreds of each resource just to bring back to your base and use it for crafting. Crafting, I should add, in a base system that encourages you to regularly move the base, which encourages you to repack your raw resources into those chunk blocks, and move it along with the base. And if you have more or less chunks than the multiples of units that it takes to pack, too bad. Just sell it before you move. It almost feels like they just don't want you to use the crafting system at all or something, I dunno. It's such a massive hassle and genuinely feels like little fun at all. I personally enjoy the game for the tech building and the combat, but once you spend long enough the base limitations start to become a problem. There is an annoying problem where upon redeploying a build (in this example two bases) you cannot join them into one base. It is a weird quirk of the building system, but avoidable. The real problem, however, is the size limit. I can understand if the build size limit was there to stop players from exploding their own PCs, but you can literally increase it with a paid DLC. The same DLC that gives you access to a Creative mode with unlimited blocks and whatnot. For a game that allows exploration of creativity, it just feels like the developers make no avenue for it other than their paid DLC. The economy of the base game just feels like a passively predatory system to extract more money from their players that already paid for the base game and now have to get DLC to get the full extent of the game, and to be able to actually fund their own war-machines like one may expect from a, you know, weaponized sandbox game. I wholeheartedly oppose the piracy of good games, especially ones that support indie developers like Payload Studios. But I simply cannot recommend this game in its current form, without these problems being solved. While I do not advocate piracy of this game, considering its current state and the lack of new development, balancing, and hardly even bug fixes, I will simply ask anyone who may happen to read this review to consider their options if they do not yet own this game, and are considering it. There is still fun to be had. Building bases, reading the blocks' lore, seeing the landscapes, blowing up other peoples' creations, building your own infernal bastardizations of vehicles, etc. Just consider if the price you pay for the game is worth the potential problems to your fun that I outline above.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

militairy legos are fun to play with. The quests get repetitive very quick though but there is plenty of other stuff to do anyway so its fine.
Good if you love repetitive tasks. I'm impressed it natively ran on an old 4 gb ram integrated graphics laptop with linux on lowest settings with almost no lag and no graphical glitches. Avoid playing with friends, ur gonna bore them to death.

Видел игру еще с 2019 у ютубера Кернекс. Думал норм, так и оказалось, НО игра очень монотонная надоедает за пару дней. 8/10
I really wish I could enjoy this game more, but there is so many flaws and problems with it. I played the demo probably almost over a decade ago now, it was charming back then and seeing it now it has had all that time to develop and cook and to be the best game it can be before it released in 2018 and I am playing it now in 2026. It is STILL not that great. Vehicle Creation and Anchor Creation is done in the dumbest way possible and it does not help that if you take too long building anything, enemies just come up and attack you out of nowhere thus ruining what you were building and then killing you ending the game. Like... Ok cool, I can build my Vehicle on the go; But I want to have a Main Base somewhere, somewhere to call home... Then it just gets thrown out of the window because the game expects you to defend yourself and YOU'RE OWN BASE RANDOMLY. If you have multiple bases littered across the whole world, you can't be there at all of them at the same time! It ALSO does not help that the AI is HORRIBLE in this game. I had a turret at my base defending and for the life of it, couldn't protect itself and the base... It even had an AI Module and everything. Don't GET ME started on how bad the Tutorial explains anything in this darn game. Sure it helps you place stuff on your Vehicle, it explains how certain Anchor parts work but then after that... You are on you're own. The game does not explain anything else to you properly INCLUDING THE FREAKING INVENTORY SYSTEM, ONE OF THE WORST THINGS IN THIS GAME EVER. Pressing TAB brings this Inventory panel on the left, here you can pull out parts you have bought to Trading Posts, here is the kicker... Once you pull a piece out and you decided you don't want it anymore? You have to bring it to a Trading Post just to put it back in; You can't DRAG IT back into your Inventory it won't LET YOU. Why the HECK do I have to drive all the way back to put ONE ITEM in the Trading Post when it would be easier to just put it back in your Inventory normally, THIS ISN'T AN INVENTORY IT'S A FREAKIN TRADING POST INVENTORY IT'S NOT YOURS TO USE. I really, seriously want to enjoy this game; But it just ruins what made it so special. If you are going to give me a darn Inventory let it be MY Inventory, NOT the Trading Posts Inventory. Here's an exploit I found, although this took me until around SIX Hours in, I think this was done on purpose. Place an Anchor Block down, then put the bits that you don't want on there at the moment and then hold Right Mouse Button on it and tell it to move blocks to Inventory. This is the dumbest thing ever and the fact that it works is stupid. JUST MAKE IT A NORMAL INVENTORY! One more huge piece of Criticism is the Vehicle and Anchor creation system, it's DOG WATER. The Snapping System is garbage, I was trying to put one block in a certain spot for what seemed to be almost five minutes. Another thing is the REDO Button, sometimes it appears sometimes it doesn't. I pulled my Cab out of my Vehicle on accident which collapsed the whole thing and I had to start from scratch with the REDO Button not appearing. So that was fun. ALSO. Enemies, these bastards will sometimes just FALL from the sky out of nowhere next to you. The way this is programmed is dumb, let me explore a world without getting attacked constantly please? Again I want to LOVE this game, but all of these problems that I have had to deal with is just not fun. https://www.backloggery.com/Zeroman95BL

çocukluğumun oyunuydu almak 8 sene sonra nasip oldu oynarken çok eğleniyorum minecraft varisi bir efsane oyun diyebilirim
How I ended up spending 500 hours on this game I have no clue. But it's a cool concept with great execution.
