Terra Nil is an intricate environmental strategy game about transforming a barren wasteland into a thriving, balanced ecosystem. Bring life back to a lifeless world by purifying soil, cleaning oceans, planting trees, and reintroducing wildlife, then leave without a trace.

I absolutely adore this game both in style and in the concept. (Restoration is such a lovely factorial concept that I am not sure why it isn't more common tbh, just makes me feel good) Also one of those games that I'm able to play in bite sized chunk without feeling like i have to cut myself off, which actually makes it a fun and realxing game instead of a chore. The only way it could be better is if it had even more continents/ planets.

Nice softcore strategy game, a genre I've been enjoying now that I don't have that much time to learn intricate mechanics of hardcore strategy. This game is slow-paced, relaxing and rewarding. The mechanics are very straighforward and easy to learn. If you are looking for a relaxing experience with a tiny bit of strategy, Terra Nil is a good choice.
What I love about this game: - each time you play the map is bit different - the different machines for different biomes - the difficulty increases for new areas - it is very replayable - very fun and engaging and makes you think - the artwork is so beautiful What I struggled with and in my humble opinion could be improved: - taking clear and nice pictures of the animals (most of them were obstructed by the plants or I could not centre / zoom out the camera enough to capture few more) - I wish I could zoom out with the camera tool too - the information about what star requirements are needed should be available on top level UI not on camera UI - understanding the requirements for the stars and biomes - a pop up menu when you hover over the icons on top left of the screen (similar to how the machines are explained) - the badges for the photos - ability to exchange the points for perks (more leaves, different colours of machines or air ship customisation... something) - placement of airship - suggested placements or auto placement or ability to delate and place again - ability to undo more than one time - relocation of the animals should be free - arrows pointing to the animal when selected from the animal menu (similar to the arrow for the last few buildings to recycle). What I would love to see in future DLCs: - few more additional features for the camera - sticker collection for the animals and plants with information about different species - ability to demolish ruins of old buildings instead of using forests to hide them - new biomes, animals and plants - new machines - new biomes: - [ ] create forests from abandoned farm lands (remove human roads and infrastructure, a requirement to create meadow in the middle of the forests, mushrooms coo-dependancy with trees, requirement to create a river/lake) - [ ] restore mono cultured forest - [ ] restore dried out forests - [ ] reversing desertification (not only add water but actually holding off the desert by straw grid method, planting in pods...) - [ ] removing plastic and pollution from water (nets, dams, ships) - [ ] restoring dunes and beaches (building fauna and flora to prevent sand to be washed away) - [ ] restoring underwater biomes, seabeds - [ ] rebalancing urban landscapes (replace old buildings with new ones, introduction of parks, cycling lanes, roof gardens...) - [ ] restoring marches (from too much drying out by humans) - [ ] restoring swamps (remove unwanted plants) - [ ] restoring prairie - [ ] restoring dry lands / deserts (from overwatering, farming...) - [ ] restoring entire jungle - [ ] restoring biomes for night animals/plants - after finishing a certain biome type (continent) to get extra levels with ready made biomes but there problems to solve, to rebuild, to fix it (too much forest, too much water...) - to see more in depth aspect of removing invasive species of plants / animals (it could be tied to the above and introduce new machines, tools...) - terraforming moon carters (you start under a dome) - maybe even new planet with new animals and plants I would wholeheartedly recommend this game for anyone who likes simple terraforming games.
When I first played the demo I loved it. When It came to steam I loved it. When the Arid update dropped, you arn't guna believe this. Loved it.
Good game, good difficulty curve, very satisfying and chill. Ambiance is nice, game is pretty, and each level offers unique challenges. However, the game is pretty short at the moment (I beat both medium and hardest difficulty + 100% achievments in under 50 hours) especially compared to its price. First additionnal content was free and great, so might be better in the future
This is my first game on steam where I kept retrying missions to get 100% achievements. Each area is unique in layout, along with its different fauna and flora. And the different selection of buildings and tools you can use to restore the wasteland keeps it from getting stale. Love how each animal has a name, and there are visible conditions to be met to make them happy. Love the screenshot mode too so I can take before restoration and after restoration photos. Definitely a game I recommend.
很好玩 不过游戏的一些地方不太合理,比如32℃的冰原和50℃的热带是闹哪样啦 如果能有更具真实性的设计和更大的地图就好了,有些东西的限制还是太厉害了
