Reviews
Another rogue-like deck builder, but it's a decent one. While it may seem simple at first, the steep difficulty quickly makes its depth apparent.
I played this before on xbox live and had fun, glad i got it again. Dark fantasy, good music, grim, weird iron age pagan vibes.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

there might be a good game here somewhere, but the UI with a gamepad just makes me want to headbutt my screen.
Too slow to get going. Too grindy.
What a surprise! This game is fun, and challenging. each character my seem like a ripoff of another one at first but as you play them more they are all different. The story is actually interesting as well so bonus. If you are on the fence its worth it but nothing wrong with waiting for a sale
A really nice game. While I'm not a fan of card games per se, I do enjoy roguelikes, and Tainted Grail: Conquest was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The starts off quite challenging with very limited permanent upgrade possibilities at the start of the playthrough. If you are lucky with the RNG you might find the right NPC's during your first runs. Once you get the first few permanent stat and rune drop upgrades the game becomes mostly a cakewalk, at least at the lowest difficulties. There is a total of nine classes, divided into 3 groups of 3. The groups share most cards among their 3 classes, in some cases with a specific spin. Each of the groups play drastically different, while variations between specific classes are more subtle and nuanced, at least on paper. In practice, due to passive upgrades you get to pick at each of 20 level ups (and which each time are randomized from the available list), there is a lot of potential variety to the builds. Especially if you combine it with the runes which are an random loot from enemy encounters. Despite it being a turn-based card game, the fights have some dynamic to them. Soundtrack is definitely a strong side of the game, combined with the graphic style of enemies and backgrounds it creates a nice climate. The story and quests (depending on personal taste) are mostly short and interesting, it's more of a chance dialogue you get to have than an overarching plot. Some frustration might come from the random nature of NPC encounters, due to which you might sometimes need over three playthroughs to push a single quest to the next stage. Most of the time the rewards are quite subtantial and increase the positive net bonuses of these random encounters even further. All dialogues are fully voiced, which I believe deserves a mention. The language, while not overly archaic, fits the setting quite well. Overall a most sincere recommendation, especially on sale.
