Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

A game with modern graphics, that oozes style and atmosphere, with old school mechanics and difficulty - what's not to love?!
The only problem is that sometimes it's hard to figure out what to do next, otherwise the game is great.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a faithful remake of a very old game, meaning parts of the gameplay do feel dated at times, but the original game was so ahead of its time that much of the game doesn't show its age and is fantastic. It is a hard game, partly because of unforgiving combat (luckily you can usually respawn for free with no progress lost) and partly because of its puzzles and refusal to directly tell you what to do. Audio and text log hunting is a huge part of this game, outside of looking up guides these will just about be your only help in figuring out what you're supposed to be doing. Main antagonist of the game is imo one of the best ever in a video game, and the story and worldbuilding are both engaging and impressive, especially considering the age of the original game. I found myself looking for new audio logs not only to try to figure out what to do next, but also in hopes of finding out more about the System Shock world and its characters. It's a very immersive and fascinating world that Looking Glass built. In short, it might not be for everyone, in many ways it feels very different than many modern games due to how faithful of a remake it is, but for me at least I loved it and I feel like it's one of the best remakes I've ever played as well as just one of the best games in general that I've ever played. It really is insane how many things the original game innovated and how advanced it was for its time, with updated graphics and controls it's still a fantastic game even by today's standards. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes games like Bioshock, Prey, and Deus Ex, this game is basically the granddaddy of all those games.
AWESOME
This game has a lot of good going for it, mostly the artstyle and some of the gameplay but it's by no means perfect, for instance the game is like 30% play time and 70% running back and fourth in areas you've already been trying to find out what you need to do in order to progress, sprinkled in with a genuinely retarded inventory system that's way too small and a incredibly stupid difficulty selection. An example of how stupid the difficulty system can be is this: you can tick if you'd like to loose the ability to drop quest items, sounds handy right? then you won't accidentally throw away important things? wrong it makes your inventory get even more cluttered with useless bs than it already is. Oh and btw you can't change these settings once you've started the game save. Buy it on a sale for sure, would not pay full price for this experience.
Its old school offline. Get a pen and paper and prepare to read, take notes, write down numbers and back track. The game will come to a point where some might check a guide online to finish as it can easily drag you down. Shodan is one of the best antagonists (of all time) and worth the price of admission. Every time Shodan speaks, you stop and listen. Diego sets the story off and then becomes a head scratcher. The ranged combat is ok, the melee is bad and the level design can be very confusing until you finally start to wrap your head around what's going on. The Puzzles are great! The game gives you everything you need without an Objective looming over your head or an arrow that you mindlessly follow, you have to think about what your doing. To me this is the definition of a Water Cooler Talk game that the internet has ruined. Its a classic that time is passing by.
