Mostly just writing this review to let you know that the first two hours are just a visual novel. After those two hours, you actually get to play the game and shoot things. This game gives you the feeling of being in an MMO without actually playing an MMO. You see "other players" out in the world and you have to pvp them, you do dungeons, grind xp, have a home and hub city, etc. Meanwhile, its all actually just you and NPCs. Its been fun so far, granted I haven't played that long. I almost quit trying to get through the intro though, boy was that a lot of reading.

Gameplay is fun but i can't get myself to play sao by myself. My girlfriend likes the game and so I got it thinking it was a real mmo like sao but theres actually like 3 dungeons you can do together. It's largely a singleplayer experience and not for those who want to play with friends.
Everything bad everywhere all at once. Insane jank in the movement, gunplay, animation locking, grapplehook garbage, infuriatingly stupid AI, ludicrous DLC prices, an uncomfortable amount of 'fansercives' with children... ...and another missed opportunity for a cool series to step out from under the greasy shadow of god emperor, digital Jesus Kirito, flushed away. There is enough decent ideas flooting around here that I had always wanted to come back and actually finish the game. Now I just want to pull my hair out. Honestly, just play Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. Itll be less frustraiting and can actually be finished prior to the heat death of the universe. PS: Lock the game at 30fps. Yes... you are getting 1 shot. No, its not about getting gud. Its the fps. just.... wow...

De fato o melhor jogo de SAO que já existiu. O roteiro não é lá uma maravilha, e a interação dos personagens com o/a protagonista é meio esquisita e até um pouco decepcionante, mas algumas outras como os diálogos secundários com a Yui, Yuuki e até mesmo com a LLENN são muito satisfatórias. E quanto a gameplay, é completamente viciante, não tem estresse pra jogar isso, é jogar, relaxar e não se preocupar com o controle mirando no lugar errado, já que tem assistência. Em resumo, gameplay maravilhosa, mesmo com os inimigos meio repetitivos. Quanto a música e arte, são impecáveis. Eu amei o trabalho que o Kengo Tokusashi fez neste jogo, e com certeza tem OSTs bem únicas; Minha única reclamação grave é que não é um jogo online, não da pra trazer amigos pra farmar ou lutar contra os bosses em tempo real, mas o jogo equilibra bem isso com o uso das IAs nos mapas. A falta de uma pausa real é um detalhe que eu gosto muito e traz uma certa imersão pro jogo. No fim, é um jogo com grandes altos e baixos, mas muito satisfatório de jogar, e eu amei esse estilo de certa forma a ponto que eu procuro o mesmo nível de satisfação ao jogar em outros jogos, e não encontro. Apenas encontro aqui. Parabéns pra todos os membros envolvidos no desenvolvimento deste jogo!!
