Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Denuvo. It deliberately locks you behind a permanent loading window at the main menu when you're offline. It's still a pure single-player game. I'll redact my review once that malware has been removed.
Edit: The game is a fake mmo, the reason why me and my gf bought this was to have some kind of anime Remnant or dark souls with guns but the co-op is unavailable in story missions and areas, it is stricly only selected "dungeons" who has 2-3 rooms and a boss to fight, and late-game content has "hardcore" co-op which includes hordes of enemies... THIS SUCKS! The solo content is okay, portrayed as a mmo, kinda plays like a simplistic low budget mmo with obvious meta builds with many questionable designs and balance. Game starts with a server connexion error, which you have to follow the devs' fix to play. (easy steps) The game auto-locks on body parts with the assist off when aiming, which screws many first shots and decrease the efficiency of targeting weak points manually. The lock-on feature clearly shows the game was meant to be played with a controller, but being a shooter, I rather stay on K+M. Your personal companion has an annoying voice, the male option clearly has the voice of a kid and acts like a girl. My gf regrets taking the male companion because it has no male traits in it's personality, only feminine. And comes the female companion who has an annoying voice and they both very frequently use an emote mid-fight at random intervals and goes "HAIIIII" loudly, for the girl but the guy is less onoxious, which clearly looks bugged because it's so obnoxious that I turned all voices off, which makes the game look dead. The game starts with 2h of tutorials and dumps a ton of informations that serves almost no purpose at that point, like learning end-game content. About only 25% of what's teached is relevant for a new player. And there's too much character introductions. There's no point introducing 10+ characters right off the bat, just the closer ones and a few missions later, the secondary characters. At the start because we don't know about mid-late game content: Pistols shoots way too fast, have "high crits" (crits are terrible overall, which sucks) and SMG's (my favourite fast firing gun class) is on par with pistols for fire rate but lower crit chance for similar base dmg when usually in other games, SMG's have similar stats of pistols but often more crit oriented, faster reload, lower accuracy and better recoil control compared to assault rifles. (There are exceptions like Boderlands where SMG's are just worst than assault rifles in every way) The stats barely matters early, your stats distribution might end up like meta builds because the bonuses are abysmal, like the cap max increase on crit chance only doubles the odds, which most guns have 1-5%, which is horrible, it should be re-balanced to get up to 75% but base gun damage slightly weaker or crit damage weaker. If you heavily invest in that, it should look like it. Or either better base dmg or better crits like most games do, where crit builds try their luck to deal more than base dmg builds, which is the whole point of crits. We might give up playing it, who knows.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Server can't be reached. Did they pull the plug on this? Let's face it, 99% of Bandai Namco's game development efforts are allocated to the creation of stupidly priced P2W DLC, and 1% on the game and maintaining their servers. And this is a paid game with a single player campaign that you can't play since they seem to have yanked the plug on the servers. None of this is okay. I won't be coming back to see if they try to fix things, either.

狗屎中那一坨不怎么臭且看也不怎么像狗屎的,但是还是改变不了是狗屎的事实
You spend hours customizing your own character and picking your guns just for the game to remind you, every five minutes, that Kirito is still handsomer, stronger, has a bigger harem, and is the actual protagonist of your life. Recommend.
Re-downloaded the game after years because I decided to achievement grind games that have been collecting dust and I have no drive to finish this one. Graphically, even by 2018 standards, it was behind on appeal as other anime IP games had already figured out how to bring 2D to 3D (Funny enough, those games include ones also published by Bandai Namco but with different developers). Even then with the 2D there is in the game, such as event CGs, they are subpar. But most mind boggling is the fact that scenes from the anime, that could be injected in place of lower quality 3D scenes, are not used. Such as when Death Gun first appears. Gameplay is the most insulting. If I'm noticing that not only are the mobs the same in every next part, but also the bosses? And the NPC enemies are as janky as my own allies? The dungeons look same-y? Then there is a problem with the variety. Usually, a cheap way to hide that is giving things completely different appearances even if they attack the same, which hearken back to the graphics being subpar. As for the AI, the less said the better. Additionally, having the clothes be only cosmetic makes no sense. Whether in the setting or reality, who makes a game where armor is like that? Sure, paid cosmetics are a thing in MMOs, but last time I checked the armor still had stats. The weapons don't do that much better, if you have guns in your game and they don't sound satisfying to fire, then do you really have guns? But seriously, the sound design is another thing that could be bugged about. Including how your allies repeat the same thing over and over and over and over again. More important is that the lack of custom keybinds in the year of our Lord Gaben 2018. Who binds an ult to Q & V? Or makes the menu button Esc instead of something Tab? It's those small annoyances that just add up over time that makes getting through the game more tedious than engaging. As for story... it's SAO, I've been on both sides of liking the anime and disliking it for different reasons. But honestly if it wasn't for the SAO IP I highly doubt the reviews would be as favorable to the game. The original story isn't bad at the start, kind of, but despite the fact that the about section says "you are the protagonist" and "This is your story" it is undermined by the Kirito Mode, the ending, and the ensemble cast, which is where several characters share the central role. As it feels like other characters are driving the plot forward, especially since we're a silent MC outside of combat. As a last note, the fact you have to access Kirito Mode by going to the main menu (or any of the DLC), select "Start Game," choose your save file, and pick "Kirito Mode" from the prompt is just poor design. Anything that requires you to exit the game in order to get the true ending is bad unless it is specifically a metafictional game that's breaking the fourth wall. But this isn't that and it's made worse by the grinding required to get affinity with multiple characters. In a game where, like most MMOs, grinding mobs over and over gets boring fast. Had this been an indie dev with only the original story parts, it would get a mixed rating at best. But if you really like SAO... then at least get is on sale. Edit: I take back what I said. Not even when it's on sale.

TL;DR: Problem 1: The game had huge potential but has been abandoned by the developers, despite being superior to later SAO-themed games. The most frustrating aspect is the lack of multiplayer features in a game set in an MMO universe—ironically funny, right? Problem 2: The presence of Denuvo, which has hindered modding and has negatively impacted the game's overall experience. Honestly, people should consider avoiding companies that integrate this kind of restrictive software into their products. Long story short: This game is very good; I would argue it’s the best in the entire SAO franchise due to its smooth and relaxing gameplay, even allowing for sword interactions during gunfights. The story is somewhat bland, and I often find myself wishing for more engaging dialogue choices, like “go to hell,” but instead, I’m limited to options like “yes” or “oh, yes, please.” The customization is impressive, and there’s plenty of build crafting available. Overall, it’s a little underrated gem. My negative review primarily stems from the issues related to Problem 2, along with a slight disappointment about Problem 1.
Ainda acho q esse é o melhor jogo do SAO. Pq? Simples... A gente segue nossa própria história. E é isso q pelo menos eu gostaria q acontecesse quando se fala em SAO... Tem o modo Kirito até, mas o Modo normal, padrão.. é oq mais me chama atenção.
