Maybe it's just me, but the game does not feel as long as the SoR1 or SoR2 ... I think we rolled credits within 2-3 hours. That's not enough content. I know they have other gameplay options that expand content and you can unlock more characters and get achievs, but it's not enough content for the price. That being said - man this took me back to my old days. It was a blast. The game really captures the old game but modernizes it in a way that is very compelling. Great game - just needs more content!
If you enjoyed the Sega classic, you're gonna enjoy this. All the moves, all the 8-bit sound effects, and just enough variations to make it not just a replay... Graphics have been upgraded to StreetFighter 3 levels, which is nice, and all the hits land and feel as punchy as they should

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ТОП 10/10
definitely reccomend SOR4 as the graphics are so good even with my laptop specs. it definitely gives and arcade vibe especially when playing using the keyboard.
Perchè i nemici possono correre e il tuo personaggio no? Capisco che si punta sul multiplayer ma una storia lineare, in base al personaggio scelto avrebbe allungato la voglia e la vita del singolplayer...
Always been the biggest fan of the series! The game is filled with nostalgia, even down to classic character looks. SOA 4 is great and the DLC will kill.
The worst Streets of Rage game of all time, your character plays as slow as they possibly can, none of the running or dodge mechanics from Streets of Rage 3. Enemies get priority to punch or kick you any time you go against them, they can even counter your elementally charged attacks LOL. The people who made this game designed it more like a Fighting Game instead of a Beat Em Up. When I play a Beat Em Up I want to play as a Character who has the upper hand and the real challenge is the amount of enemies on screen rather than "All the enemies have moves that can be prioritised over yours and can even deflect your elemental abilities" like tf is this game meant to be? Are you seriously telling me these Syndicate Goons can now use their fists and feet to cancel out Elemental Abilities against them? What a joke. I do not recommend this game to anyone. There are some neat ideas sure but the gameplay is absolutely crap for the genre this game is supposed to be.
The depth of this game is pretty insane. I think it will take a little bit for stuff to click for most people, but once it does there is a ton of content. For instance, it's entirely doable to go through these levels without getting hit, and no, as one other reviewer I noticed with 40 minutes of gameplay tried pointing out, doing so does not require you to figure out which moves have i-frames for the bosses; they all have openings that you can maneuver around to avoid damage. There's tons of combo potential, and you can even unlock alternate movesets as you play. The characters are extremely varied, too. One thing that surprised me is that when I unlocked a pixelated "Streets of Rage 1" Axel early on, my assumption was that it was just a skin. Nope. As you unlock the cast from previous SoR games, know that they have their complete original movesets intact. The SoR3 characters even have their running and rolling. Essentially, this means you have close to 20 fighters to play with in total. Finally, just want to say that I grew up with SNES, so I didn't get around to playing the OG SoRs until recently. They all hold up. So if you try this game and dig it, I do recommend going back to play the originals "any way you can." (though when you get to SoR3, play the JP version with an English patch; the western release made a lot of awful changes). On that note, the other cool thing is just how much of a love letter this game is to those old titles. There are hidden retro levels you can discover, easter eggs hidden in the background art everywhere, and in general tons of callbacks. SoR4 stands on its own perfectly well, but playing those early games will greatly enhance your appreciation here, I feel. I highly recommended SoR4. This is easily one of the best beat 'em ups out there.
