Reviews
I finished the game only because I thought it would eventually all come together in some sort of intelligent way, seeing as so many reviews were positive. It did not. The idea is intriguing but the execution was a failure. The game was boring and a trudge from start to finish.
Strangeland stands out with its deeply psychological themes, immersing you in a surreal mindscape, almost a descent into madness. The puzzles fit this strange setting—sometimes obscure, sometimes clear—but the in-game help system via phone helped with hints. The symbolism is so rich that we could discuss it for hours, but we can't do this in this review because of the spoilers, and believe me it worths the time. The story explores rare topics through allegory and symbolism; it's truly a work of art in that domain. The ending leaves deliberate questions, encouraging players to form their own interpretations. The pixel art is among the best—dark, desolate, sometimes shocking—and the music perfectly supports the atmosphere. The language is intentionally strange, matching the theme but sometimes confusing. It’s only about 4-5 hours, making it intense yet short. it’s a symbolic, artistic, and thought-provoking experience which undertakes a rather difficult issue (not many games dare to do that). Thank the developers for this effort and we hope for better thinks are still ahead.

The story in this game is so messed up in the most impressive way possible. Lots of feelings. Incredible game.
Visual and psychological masterpiece guiding player through despair. Many themes open themselves only when you look at them from a different angle.
What a gem! The settings, atmosphere and characters are eerie and the story is interesting. I also liked the game mechanics and the "0" on the payphone is an actually good help and seemed well balanced (in the cases in which I used it). Recommend!
Achei-o visualmente feio, não atraente, bizarro e deprimente. Não gostei. Game reprovado!!!
