Strange Horticulture

This game is a total delight, so cozy, and still a fun detective puzzle. I wish I had played this game sooner.

Интересная игра на "расслабиться". Совершение ошибок не ведет к фатальным последствиям, растения быстро запоминаются, а ситуации горожан порой даже забавные. Есть загадки, где нужно быть повнимательнее, но в основном решения довольно простые. Играла с удовольствием.

This might have been my first “choices matter” kind of puzzle game. It is one of those games that will make you come back and try to see if you can do things differently the second time around. You play as a plant store owner. You attend to your customers, and you also go around and find new plants to satisfy some of the more intricate needs of your clientele. Is everyone happy that you are doing this job? No, and you will find this out very soon in the game, and that’s when the mystery part comes into play. The art fits the story and vibe of the game, and the plants are different enough that you can follow the descriptions in your book to correctly identify them. I wouldn’t say the game is whimsical; it leans more into a darker kind of mystery, and even with the cosy aesthetics, it will make your skin crawl at times. If you want a somewhat relaxing puzzle mystery focused on story, Strange Horticulture is a great pick. It also has replayability value, so that’s a plus.

A Cozy puzzle game with spooky vibe. Every character (including you) has a backstory that you unveil day by day. Most of the puzzles were easy to solve if you pay close attention to the pages and information given by the customers. Eventhough it's a plant identifying game at it's core, the steps that you need to go through to get those plants is what makes it even more interesting. Music, interation effects and A CUTE CAT that you can pet gives it the cozy vibe whereas the customer interactions adds the spookiness. Overall a great game to play before you go to sleep or when you wanna play something chill.

I love plants, puzzles, and games. But this is simply not fun to play.

Went into this not expecting much, got addicted almost immediately, Finding the correct plant for each customer is strangely relaxing and getting it right feels very rewarding. At the same time, the writing keeps you interested indicating that disturbing events are happening nearby. Finding new plants, new hints about the unfolding mistery keep the whole experience fresh until the end. It's a short game but worth every cent. Recommended for any fans of the genre.
