About
The city burns and bleeds as it suffers the madness of King Louis XVI and his violent legions of automatons. Aegis, a mechanical masterpiece created by the engineer Vaucanson to be the queen's bodyguard, must save the French Revolution in this challenging action-RPG.
Up against the king's mechanical soldiers, deadly accuracy will be needed. String together dodges, parries, jumps and devastating attacks to fight your way through Paris. Every fight will test your nerve and requires excellent discipline, while the huge relentless machine bosses demand patience and skill.
Define your own style and upgrade your abilities as you progress through the game. You can play as a ruthless warrior, a hard-hitting bodyguard, a deadly dancer or a virtuoso of the elemental arts. Take advantage of a wide variety of weapons and skills to approach each fight in your own unique way.
Using carriages, grapples, secret passages, a detailed map, and other methods and tools you find along the way, explore a city experiencing its darkest days. Your grappling hook adds a new dimension to exploration and Paris's verticality. Combined with your dash ability, it will provide access to all the city's secrets across multiple levels you can explore over and over again.
You are one of the main characters of an alternative history where Paris is being choked by a tyrant king. Allies and enemies with unclear motives will cross your path, such as Marie-Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre. It's up to you to cut a path through all the plotting and put an end to one man's madness so that the French Revolution succeeds.

the game isn't bad, but it is very weird. the animations are weird, the controls are weird, the models are weird, the payoff for everything is weird, the game is weird

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very enjoyable combat, visuals, storytelling, world, atmosphere, and character progression. The storytelling is efficient and unobtrusive, and I found myself wanting to know more rather than annoyed by the dialogue and text. It's totally skippable. This has all the fundamentals of a souls-like, so nothing is going to surprise you if you've played one of those before. They have some novel approaches to weapons and stats that make it worth playing. Every weapon is theoretically balanced--you can level up the first weapon you get and use it the whole game if you want. Weapons all scale mainly with (strength) or (dexterity) but have different move sets and special abilities, so once you pick strength or dexterity, you find the weapons with the move sets you enjoy and special abilities you like. The specials include projectile attacks, an elemental damage buff, a parry + counter attack, a shield that can parry-stun if you time it right, and a variety of "bladestorm" mobile aoe attacks. Some weapons can do elemental attacks, which can stack up special effects like frozen or burning in the usual way, although interestingly you can spec your character into stacking effects more quickly, which I really like--you can use the elemental buffs for extra damage, or for their special debuffs on the enemy. I've found the game decently easy, but I've played a lot of these games. I one-shot a lot of the bosses, sometimes with extra potions. The one-time use potions heal you over twenty seconds, only your flask heals you instantly, after the animation. Still, combat is satisfying and strategic, and I've never been bored during the combat or exploration segments. The lowest part of the game is the sub quests, because they require you to backtrack over levels you've already beaten. You get to open up shortcuts as you go, but it is still a pain to navigate sometimes, especially the first few you do. It's much easier to navigate the first time you explore, because you're just going forward, but once everything's been opened, it actually becomes a little harder to navigate since the levels are mazes and you can't just go towards your objective. They do give you items that teleport you back to the fast travel point once you finish a side quest. Side quests are totally skippable, but still basically worth it. The second worst thing about the game is that it shoves you into boss fights sometimes. It does usually give you the option to talk to an NPC (usually through a locked door, like in Asteregos) and they will give you hints about how to fight the boss (or what they are immune to). The third worst thing is giving you occasional binary choices you don't fully understand but seem like they will affect the ending. Choices should matter, but give us context.
Great game with a good variety of enemies and weapons. I went DEX parry build but I think alchemist maybe really fun. Bosses maybe too easy. Its a cool linear adventure game with souls like mechanics. Optimization is the real problem. I recommend on sale, especially cause the studio got shutdown by Nacon.
Apart from the optimization and bugs it is really a fun souls-like game. I had trouble unlocking all citizen stories for achievement because it got simply bugged. Very annoying. But the story, locations and whole environment was really enjoyable. If only I dind't have 70 fps while running around Paris on 4070 Ti.
Une bonne porte d'entrée dans les soulslike.
America looks quite weird this time of year; for some reason, everybody speaks French. So you know it's good.
Typowi Spidersi niedopracowana nieco drewniana gra, ale jakoś bangla i bawi
