Starstruck: Hands of Time

Маленький, но очень насыщенный проект. Мысль свою разработчики доносят слишком уж запутанно, как по мне, поэтому суть сюжета можно и упустить. Но юмор, геймплейное разнообразие, интересный мир и общая визуально-аудиальная эстетика стоят того, чтобы попробовать игру самостоятельно. К тому же история в целом и персонажи все еще остаются приземленными, поэтому бродить в полном непонимании не придется. Сложно разобраться именно в частностях, что не такая уж и проблема. В общем, если промо-материалы цепляют, то нет никаких причин пропускать это произведение.

One of those games that is as much games as it is an experience. Gameplay is fun if you enjoy rhythm and chaos, and the story is enough of a scratcher to feel satisfying yet intriguing if you really wanna think about its message. Talking about the visuals I think is almost pointless: That's how obviously charming they're to me. A lot of work went into the many different scenes that you see through the game and they're either adorable or impressive. Really hats off to all the work that went into making certain parts of this game. The songs are quite great! But more importantly, I think they really fit the gameplay and atmosphere and each of them has a bit more to say about the character playing it in a very well thought out way. Break the Mold + Enter the Center on repeat until the end of time. Overall, it is a short and sweet game you can get through in one long sitting that I quite enjoyed!! I especially recommend doing all that the game offers to get the most of it, both in mystery, message and humor.

I have ultimately mixed feelings overall, but I think this game is worth experiencing!!! Its got a lot of heart and I really adore the rhythm and music centric stuff. The way it sort of evolves lands a bit weird, but I really do enjoy the final portion of the game. I enjoy the quirks of the characters and I really love the music in the game. There are so many memorable setpieces and its really endearing. Absolutely worth your time

It starts as a charming adventure with guitar hero game mechanics but I just couldn't get through the last level because it just goes on and on monologuing about art, the roman empire and the moon landing. It turns way too artsy in my opinion and becomes a drag. But up to this point there were a lot of little things I loved about this game, so this is a hard decision but I can't really recommend it.

Um jogo esquisito que não quer ser normal. A jogabilidade em si pode parecer um pouco simples, mas é compensada por um texto inacreditável e uma arte primorosa. É uma obra que te enxerga, te dá vontade de ser você mesmo e te faz refletir sobre a vida, o tempo, a história e, principalmente, sobre a arte e expressão individual. Toda linha de diálogo, cena, design de personagem e parte do mapa são feitos com extremo cuidado. Da pra sentir transbordar pela tela a dedicação de pessoas que amam a arte e têm muita esperança sobre o impacto que ela pode ter no mundo. As mecânicas de ritmo e de exploração, que formam a base da gameplay, podem sim ser um pouco abaixo do esperado para um título com uma narrativa tão profunda. Porém, a obra vale cada centavo pelo texto, pela história e pelos temas abordados. Tenho certeza de que vou me lembrar dessa experiência por muito tempo e que as mensagens dela vão me fazer refletir sobre a minha própria jornada e sobre a expressão artística como um todo. Estou escrevendo isso diretamente depois da minha primeira playthrough. Fantástico

I expected this one to be weird, but not THAT weird. The first 20 minutes already surprised me and the game kept doing so till the end. I had a blast in every segment: exploring the town and playing the guitar as Edwin and Dawn, watching the story evolve, and DESTROYING said town as a floating hand. It's got a distinct sense of humor that made me chuckle every time while not getting in the way of the events taking place. It deals with several themes such as the childhoods of some of the characters, wanting to be liked and fitting in, art and originality, historical events and figures, and much more that I surely didn't even catch. It gets pretty uncomfortable at times (good, I-can't-stop-watching uncomfortable). The tracks can be hit or miss, I guess. But I ended up loving them all and spending more time than I expected on free play. I found the normal difficulty challenging enough, but there is even an autoplay mode in case you find yourself struggling. The visuals are lovely and very polished, featuring several mediums that fit surprisingly well together. It looks great. I can't recommend this enough. Starstruck needs way more attention!
