It's better than it looks. I avoided buying Stardew Valley for a while because it was cheap and looked like any other indie farming game. I was wrong. Once you start playing, you can't stop. My only advice is that it's better with mods. It's good to play base game for a while, but adding on simple stuff like no fence decay, automatic gates, wear more rings, etc. is really useful. Even aesthetic mods, like lowering the saturation (unless you like it bright and colorful). Or relationship mods, where you can hug your friends!! And more character dialogue!!! ConcernedApe is a very dedicated dev with consistent updates and he keeps the fans in mind. I've never been disappointed with a Stardew Valley update (Clint as a romance option being an exception). If you like cozy games, you should 100% play Stardew Valley. If you are more of an Elden Ring person, you should still 100% try Stardew Valley.
