When the daily life of day to day dull and drab office work feels soul-crushing, sometimes you just want to leave it behind and enjoy the simple life in the vast fields of the great outdoors, and this game is the embodiment of that. Sure its hard work, but its the sense of freedom that makes the whole thing rewarding. You take over your grandfather's farm and be part of a small town community while trying to improve it while you're at it. You go fishing, explore mine, make friends, rebuild the community center (or sell out like a jerk) and overall enjoy life at your own pace. Its the kind of game that makes you feel "just one more day" regardless of whatever you're doing as there's always something to be done out in the valley. Music and art are great and still hold up well to this day. This game was a one man passion project that has been continuously updated and honestly deserves the praise for how expansive this game ended up getting. You seriously can't go wrong with the rustic beauty that this game has presented itself as. Its been 10 years since the game was released and its still an amazing game that holds it head up high in relevance. In short, this is a game worth picking up for what is and everything it has provided since.
