About

In Starbound, you create your own story - there’s no wrong way to play! You may choose to save the universe from the forces that destroyed your home, uncovering greater galactic mysteries in the process, or you may wish to forego a heroic journey entirely in favor of colonizing uncharted planets.

Settle down and farm the land, become an intergalactic landlord, hop from planet to planet collecting rare creatures, or delve into dangerous dungeons and lay claim to extraordinary treasures.
Discover ancient temples and modern metropolises, trees with eyes, and mischievous penguins. Make use of hundreds of materials and over two thousand objects to build a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, a medieval castle, underwater arcade, or even a space station.

Starbound has been built from the ground up to be multiplayer and easily moddable. You have the tools to make the universe your own and modify the game to suit your play style - add new items, races, planet types, dungeons, and quests - the possibilities are limitless.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Gioco molto bello, con una colonna sonora eccezzionale. Se amate rilassarvi o combattere (so che insieme fanno strano) provatelo.
Me encanta este juego, lastima que no puedes follarte a los florans 10/10 recomendado.
I don't know how I got this many hours 'cuz I sure as hell didn't play it for this long. That aside, only play this game if you are a big terraria fan because it seems more like terraria in space than its own game. Competent though and I would recommend getting on sale like I did.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I basically only play it for some mods and to build cool stuff, except dont play Frackin Universe that ♥♥♥♥ is stinky and is just a bootleg wannabe gregtech modpack for mc. If you like to build its a fine game, but don't go into this expecting some indepth exploration or meaningful progression (i literally mod out the story lol), its just not got the bones for that due to the disastrous development it went through.

Отличная песочница, один раз точно можно пройти с кайфом, а модификации дают игре очень большую реиграбельность. Приятно бывает залипнуть в игре.
I love this game, you can do soooo much and there is alot in the workshop. People have much imagination and ideas for this game...
I tried to like this game. I gave it several chances when 1.0 finally hit. I even managed to force myself to finish the game. But it is just not good. I enjoyed the game when I first played it, back when you had to travel to different galaxies for the higher tier goods. But the changes they made to the game since then just milled away any edges of inspiration and left us with a dull, flat, boring experience. It really just comes down to going from planets to planets until you find some good, legendary weapons, and using those to take on the bosses in their story sections, to unlock more planets, to fetch more items, to build more tiers of technology, to go find more legendaries, to eventually beat the game. The cycle isn't appealing, and things that got added due to kickstarter goals really don't do anything useful. Ok, so there's a pet on the ship that just wanders around and gets in the way. Yay? There's the whole fossil stuff, which nets you a lot of nothing valuable. There WAS inspiration in this game, when it was first being built, but that's all gone now. At least people say it's good with mods. I'll pass. There's too many other games that I can play instead.
Первые версии игры нравились, но после кучи патче игра стала скучней и дольше просто так.
