Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Only buy this version for native controller support (which means full Steam Deck compatibility) and achievements. The original releases are easier to mod and have a reasonable file size.
Aspyr? More like A$$pyr. Because this "reboot" of a classic is A$$! Do not waste your hard earn money on this garbage. Reviews speak for themselves. I will 100% be more likely to hook up my old PS2 and play the original game discs from 2004/2005 over this ported trash any day.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's a port of Battlefront 1 and 2 that works well on steam deck, with native controller support. If that is what you want then this has you covered. Apparently this was a mess at launch but I have not encountered any major issues after few hours of playing mostly on deck. I am not bothered about online multiplayer either and have only played the game solo. It's functional but there is a lot more that could have been done here to make the package more exciting.
buggy, broken, couldnt get a refund due to waiting for it to get better, and never did. avoid
Has the same quality as the Sequel Trilogy
Half-assed money grab that was practically abandoned after they released it with far too many bugs and issues.
This game is a spit in the face of the fans of the originals. It takes everything you loved about the originals and takes it away or changes in such a way to make you hate them all while managing to run the game worse than the originals. Very clear that little to no time was spent actually making this and it is just straight up a cash grab. The devs should be ashamed of themselves
I played this for the first time since release for a bit of fun and I was walking around shooting droids and suddenly, Darth Maul appears like a horror villain, runs down the corridor at me, and swiftly kills me in a single saber strike. The AI playing heroes was not a feature in the original Battlefront 2 and whatever employee at Aspyr decided to add that earned my positive review. The AI playing as heroes makes this game so much better.
It just doesn't butter the sausage like it used to.
If into the Classic Collection you go, only pain will you find - Master Yoda. I played other Aspyr Slop Re-releases, and I read the negative reviews here, and I was stupid enough to actually think "it doesn't sound that bad". And I was right, it's not as bad as the reviews make it out to be, it's way worse in every respect! Calling this collection "kinda bad" is about on par with saying "Episodes 7, 8, and 9 were just kinda bad". You have no idea the slop that awaits. It's clearly been abandoned, and Aspyr has moved on to its next cash grab. This is a blatant asset flip (only this time the asset is already 2 fully packaged games); they literally added nothing more than achievements and cards. For everything else, you'll have a better experience playing the original 2 games instead, because these 2 versions are objectively worse! The only harsh truth you need to deal with is that you're running out of time to buy the original two games before Disney pulls them from Steam the same way they pulled Dark Forces to force people to buy the rereleased slop version. Aspyr had 1 job here, just 1! Release these two games in at least the same working state as the originals or better (while they are still available on steam) and they couldn't even do that! However, if you still hate your life, money, and mental well-being, let me offer another alternative before I tell you more about what awaits you in this game... If you want the same experience to waste as much time, money, mental wellbeing, electricity, and internet bandwidth, simply follow these steps: 1) - Leave your home, walk to the local park, give the money to a local crackhead (if he mugs you, that's just free bonus DLC for the experience). 2) - Next, return home to your wife, during dinner, tell her you don't like her cooking, and her mom / your mom always did it better, then look her dead in the eyes, tell her she's getting fat, and you think her best friend is hotter. 3) - Afterwards, go online on your PC and search for a torrent of twogirlsonecup.exe. You'll either find a video or a virus, but regardless of the result, you'll either find nostalgic content from the same era that will evoke the same feelings as playing this collection, or you'll find a virus that will cause general instability on your PC, similar to what you'll experience playing this collection! Either way, you'll waste internet bandwidth if you have a capped connection and have a equally enjoyable experience. If the above alternative is not good enough for you and you must torture yourself because you're a dumbass like me who wants achievements and trading cards, then brace yourself for an experience that's currently undergoing experimental phases of testing as a new form of torture in North Korea! This game has all the classic Aspyr hallmark features you've come to know and expect from them: ☑ Buggy Gameplay that wasn't present in the original release ☑ Missing features you'd expect from a modern rerelease ☑ Frequent crashing ☑ Buggy achievements and other basic features that even indie dev teams of one don't F***-up as badly! ☑ A price tag that's too high for what you're getting in return, with a total lack of care/respect for the IP it represents or its fans. Next time, Aspyr should just create an exe file that simply launches an image of their CEO laughing with a desk full of money and some text that says: "Thanks for the money, sucka!" I would actually be less mad, because that would at least not be under the veil of attempting to sell something of actual value to players and fans. I legitimately have nothing positive to say about this, and all I'm left with is questions ... Questions like: Why can my character not strafe left when it could in the original? Why does the LAAT do a backflip and shake about when I take off in it on Geonosis? Is that another invisible wall, or is my character's movement just bugged again? How could any living, breathing human being with so much as a single ounce of self-respect allow something like this to be released? I'm convinced the CEO of Aspyr is a Toydarian. Loves money, sells junk, and probably supports the slave trade (we can try asking the devs to confirm this last bit, but the prior two are 100% confirmed). TL;DR - Don't buy, buy the original 2 while they are still available on Steam, screw Aspyr. PS. If you see my hours go up, it's because I want the achievements, and as I mentioned before, I'm not that bright and clearly just hate my life + mental wellbeing.
