Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 29 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Star Vortex is a top-down ARPG space shooter that follows the formula of classic titles such as Diablo 2. Humanity is fighting wars on all fronts. Suddenly a new threat appears out of nowhere and begins attacking the human forces. Earth must be warned about this new danger and it is up to you to escort the mothership back home to deliver the unsettling news.
You play as a pilot of a fighter ship who must venture out into the space sector to find the gateway keys that will allow the mothership to reach Earth. Throughout your journey, you will gain experience allowing you to level up and upgrade your ship from a small frigate to a massive battleship while collecting equipment that synergizes with your build and playstyle. Explore randomly generated sectors fighting elite enemies and bosses then work your way up through difficulties.

Along with creating an ultimate build to match your playstyle and searching for the best equipment you can visit the shipyard on the mothership to design your perfect ship. Starting with a small frigate, as you gain experience and level up, you can increase the size of your ship, from a small fighter to a destroyer to a cruiser and finally a huge battleship.
Unlock new weapon and equipment slots allowing you to increase the total number of weapons and equipment that you can use at one time. From lasers to projectile weapons to rocket launchers and automatic turrets, the possibilities are endless as to how you fit your ship.
Every aspect of the ship is available for you to design. From its appearance to the placement of the weapons and equipment slots, you are free to design your ship how you see fit. Save your favourite creative designs and share them with friends and the community, with a ship design import and export option.

Randomly generated sectors make every game different but your navigation system will help you plot your course. How you tackle your exploration of a sector is your decision to make. Do you take charge and head directly for the boss or do you take your time and explore levelling up? Perhaps you will take a detour to scavenge for rare and legendary upgrades and equipment. The choice is yours, but danger lurks in every system.
Not all systems are the same, some contain environmental dangers such as heat which without protection will cause your ship to burn, or corrosion that will damage your ship over time. There is also the threat, where the invaders can attack without warning. All could be peaceful as you collect the spoils of battle only to suddenly, be invaded by this strange new and relentless enemy. You must always be alert and prepared, as with great rewards come great risks.

Put your equipment, upgrades, and skills to use and lay waste to your enemies throughout your journey. As you travel through each sector you will find yourself in skirmishes with small groups, rescuing and escorting stranded pilots, intercepting enemy convoys, entering warzones and coming face to face with mighty elites and gigantic bosses.
Each race and faction has its strengths and weaknesses and you must adapt and adjust your equipment to give yourself the advantage. Equip greater heat resistance and non-heat weapons against the fiery Junkers or corrosion resistance against the mysterious Outcasts. Your ability to adapt will make the difference between survival or death.

A versatile ship designer allows you to get creative and construct your perfect ship from a vast array of parts, choosing colors and slot placements as you wish.
Constant progression grants the unlocking of bigger ships and more weapon and equipment slots as you level up your pilot.
Three large upgrade trees where players can create the perfect build to suit their play style.
A deep and complex item system, with many possible builds and synergies to discover.
A huge array of weapons to use against your foes such as lasers, homing missiles, energy pulses, time dilation, drones, cloaking fields, grapple guns, tesla coils and much more.
Procedurally generated sectors to explore, which make every game vastly different from the last.
Various difficulty settings to suit all skill levels and a Hardcore Mode for those looking for the ultimate challenge.
Play through the story solo or in online or LAN co-op, or enable PvP and battle against your friends.
Play how you want to play with a huge array of settings. Controls are fully customizable allowing keyboard only, keyboard and mouse, controller, or steam deck.

As a final note, I've tried hard to incorporate as much accessibility into my design as possible. If my efforts do not meet expectations please reach out to me on Discord so I can rectify this.

Played the Demo until Level 11 and then decided to buy, this game is really polished and runs decent on iGPU. Since is EA, plenty of new content is still ahead. Worth to buy for ARPG fans.
Amazing game, with amazing customization. Quite simple but fun, boss music loops a bit if you take too long lol.
EA Spaceship shooter + customize ship + controls = Explore, fight enemies and complete missions in each sector. Gain credits, weapons and more throughout your adventure. To infinity and beyond! super fun so far. trying to figure out how to fit my ship. lots of fun but could use maybe a tutorial about ship stuff. maybe i just havetn made it that far lol. Really scratches my space loot shooter itch <3
RPG mechanics are dead and have no perspectives. This is a dull boring repeating game like asteroid shooter from 80-x.
Fantastic Game! Writing this as of 0.8.1 (Early Access). I put nearly 26 hours into this game in 48 hours.. It's addictively fun because you are always making progress and the build diversity is huge. The Dev is hands on and passionate about ARPG and Space.... Win/Win 0. That right we start with 0 cause I had to edit this. The ship designer is brilliant! No weird snapping or rules saying you cant place something. Just pick items and build your ship however you want with one of the smartest systems ever put into a game. Change individual parts, colors, placements (even if they overlap). Do what you want. Its like making paper cutouts of shapes and literally placing them where you want and coloring them as you see fit. Your weapon slots can be put almost anywhere. 100% freedom! 1. You have your ARPG items with quality variants as expected. However, you can swap a stat from a similar item over to your other item. You can swap stats onto or off of a blueprint. You can increase the level or rarity of those items in a simple fashion if you have the currency or materials. Nothing is useless. This is one of the most well thought-out and simple crafting processes I've experienced in 40 years of gaming. 2. The difficulty is FULLY adjustable, not just scaled per difficulty level. Tweak it how you want from baby simple to full on "yeah good luck with that" settings. 3. The controls are very responsive and smooth as butter. 0 issues. I use controller 90% of the time and mouse for inventory management and crafting as its a bit faster. Speaking of.... 4. Inventory management! A generous amount of bag space, a private inventory, and a 5 page shared inventory for other characters to use. No stupid odd shaped items taking up multiple boxes in the inventory. Every item takes up one slot only and consumables stack. Don't need the low quality loot? Built-in, in-depth loot filter! Also, built-in quick selling with selectable rarity at vendors. 5. Skill trees - There are no locks on skill trees, pick the ones you want to use and put points into it. Mix and match how you see fit. Experienced player that wants to make a 0 button build to beat the game on the hardest settings? You can! 6. Graphics - for a single Dev game that is a hobby come to life, this game is flat out beautiful and the animations are very smooth. I love everything from the menu details to sight of 70 ships blowing up at once. 7. Soundtrack - The soundtrack is fantastic, especilly the title theme which is what got me hooked. To top it off, this Dev went out of their way to contact the music creator and was able to get permission to post the soundtrack for free! Thank you to both of them! 8. Story - Still in early access so I don't know what to expect but it does have a decent story so far and a quest tracker if needed. I like the sarcastic NPC/bot that goes with you. 9. Environment - The worlds and background are beautiful although a bit repetitive. I especially love the concept of the Nebula areas and flying through them. It's really well done! 10. Enemies - The enemies have different factions and abilities. The use different fighting styles and a huge variety of weapons against you. The bosses are really frickin cool and can be challenging on higher difficulties. 11. The future - I'm really looking forward to 1.0 to see what else gets added. There is a New-Game+ with higher level after you beat what is available. 12. Suggestions - 12a - Better enemy AI so some of the smaller faster fragile enemies dont fly straight at you and die. 12b - Add a checkbox and slider to set the level of every zone equal to your level, and use the slider to increase that minimum to up to +10 (If you clear every single area you end up quite overleveled. 12c - Larger areas with some points of interest to entice some exploration. Maybe some secrets... I know this is an action RPG but there is no exploration in this which is my biggest issue. All that being said, I still enjoyed the hell outta this game and can't wait to 100% it in 1.0. In it's current state I'd give it a 9/10 and if it gets the enemy level adjustments and exploration it would be a 10. Thank you Dev for your hard work on this project as it's also a work of art! Thank you soundtrack designer for your addictive tracks and permissions granted!
Pretty good top down space shooter with a strong sense of progression. Use Navigation to choose a map location, warp in, shoot everything that moves until it stops moving, collect the scrap and decide you should bolt onto your ship. You can spend a lot of hours designing your perfect space battleship then deciding exactly which weapon types, modifiers, and skill points go into optimizing your Explosions Per Minute. Battles can get fairly large and frantic, especially once enemies start showing up that can match you for speed so you can't just dart in and out of range at will. Though, customizable difficulty makes this fairly accessible, you don't need to be particularly good at shooters to succeed if you really learn the mechanics. This is NOT a roguelike normally, dying just costs you some credits and lets you respawn back at the mothership to reconsider your build. The gear chase is probably the strongest feature at this point, I would encourage the developer to start considering more ways to differentiate the different enemy factions now. For example perhaps more enemies might use walls or barriers to shape the battle landscape or have very powerful but slow-turning weapons, or slow moving enemies that can only be damaged from specific directions to add some directionality. These features exist in the engine but are mostly only used by bosses.
A neat little ARPG in Spaaaace! Decent selection of loot, nice variety of guns. Could do with a few more hull pieces, but so far it's quite enjoyable.
