About
Hop into the driver's seat of your rocket-powered big rig as you haul cargo, scavenge for salvage and interact with an eclectic cast of star-hopping truckers in this Americana-infused journey on the ultimate open road - space!

Hi, this is Monster and Monster. Star Trucker is our tiny indie team's passion project, and we’re committed to making it the best intergalactic trucking game we can. By listening to the community, we’re working hard to improve the experience with every update. So buckle up and join us for the long haul!

Your truck is not a starship. We’ve taken typical vehicular controls then made sure zero-g momentum played a big part in maneuvers. The result is a unique driving experience that’s easy to pick up yet hard to master!
Cruise the hyper highways, taking on a variety of jobs such as fuel hungry long hauls and hazardous drop-offs to earn cash and unlock new content.
And don't forget to monitor the CB radio for chatter from fellow truckers; it's a fantastic way to uncover side gigs and stay updated on galactic gossip.

Keeping your rig runnin’ isn’t always easy. You’ll need to keep your core systems online, gravity compensator spinnin’ and hull patched to prevent your cab from leaking lung juice.
Be sure to make pre-trip shop stops for replacement parts, and consider upgrading your truck at a local garage. These improvements are vital for safely navigating volatile sectors and ensuring timely deliveries.

Use the galactic map to plan your journey and warp jumps, while keeping an eye on your fuel reserves and power levels.
Once your route is set, kick back, crank up the cab hi-fi and cruise to a selection of original songs covering starburst blues, galactic rock and asteroid infused americana. The open road is waiting!

Me dormi en un estacionamiento una hora, me quede sin energia y casi muero por falta de oxigeno, conduje con el traje espacial a la estacion mas cercana con una de las mayores tensiones que jamas senti, todo esto acompañado por musica de la radio. 10/10
I've been into job sims for quite a while now, and i can safely say Star Trucker is my all-time favorite game in this category. The premise is super simple but it is taken without any irony, and with a lot of love in all the details. The visuals of course, but also the music, the thunk sound when you put in a new battery, and even the cozy leather squeak when you get behind the wheel <3 I'll follow Monster & Monster from here to Vexmont !

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Star Trucker is an atmospheric sci-fi vehicle simulation game that combines classic long-haul trucking with zero-gravity space flight. The narrative setup doesn't bother with grand fluff: here is your retro-futuristic rig, now get out into the orbital shipping lanes and haul cargo. Fact: You'd expect space shipping to be easier without ground friction, but Star Trucker forces you to manually manage internal oxygen systems, power cells, and suit batteries—turning a simple highway drive into a constant sub-system survival headache! The Short Answer: Is It Worth Buying? Only if you are desperately looking for a time-sink, or if you've put hundreds of hours into Euro Truck Simulator (ETS) and are craving a radical change of scenery. Otherwise, it's a hard sell in its current state. Playtime 5/10 Long and tedious—expect 50+ hours if you plan on maxing out licenses and haul routes. The progression structure mirrors ETS, built for long-term grinding. Story 2/10 Virtually non-existent: you haul cargo, occasionally chat over the CB radio with quirky space truckers, and learn bits of background lore through brief dialogue exchanges. Music 4/10 Unobtrusive, cozy, and surprisingly pleasant - a solid mix of space-country tunes that fit the long-haul vibe well. Graphics 4/10 Decent visual quality reminiscent of mid-to-late 2015s simulators. Mechanics 3/10 The game suffers from severely punishing economic balance. Early on, the payouts are brutally low while maintenance costs (batteries, air filters, hull repairs) eat up every penny—making early progression feel far more unforgiving than even S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s economy at launch. Flight physics leave a lot to be desired: whether fully upgraded or completely empty, the rig handles like a cow on ice. Once you hitch up a trailer (or double trailers), turning and braking become a total nightmare. The collision and damage systems are bizarrely unforgiving—even micro-asteroids will crack your cargo integrity despite having upgraded shields/bumpers installed. Cargo storage inside the cab is equally frustrating: dropping an item onto the floor damages its durability, forcing you to use specific shelves. However, cab storage space and shelf capacity cannot be upgraded (or at least there's no clear option to do so). Personal Take The core concept of "retro CB-radio trucking in space" sounds fantastic on paper, but the actual execution turns into an exhausting struggle against terrible handling, overtuned maintenance costs, and janky physics. If you want deep, immersive space operations, you're better off picking up EVE Online or the classic Freelancer. If you want a relaxing, meditative hauling loop where driving actually feels good, stick to Euro Truck Simulator 2. Overall Score: 55/100
This game is still very lacking even after a year. I understand the dev team is small but their focus does not seem to be towards the majority of the communities wants/needs, I don't wanna bash this game since it can be fun and the devs did a great job but the new player experience being rough and the lack of co-op makes this game hard to recommend to friends unless they read up tutorials online to have everything run efficiently or customise the difficulty (which most new players won't know about from the get go). I'm sure this game will get these features at some point but for now it's a tough sell.
the gameplay is boring the controls are goofy and the AI are going straight into you and YOU have to pay the fine when transporting FRAGILE CARGO????? sorry im done
2 year later and still no in game joystick support (aside from the other issues, no clue whether they have been fixed)........nobody is playing this game anymore. .........I waited and waited and waited............nada........
так-то хорошая игра, но с этим обновлением что-то сломалось... Rtx3070ti, в некоторых локациях 4fps
I wanted to like this game, I really did. I was excited to play it. The game has a novel idea, the the atmosphere is pretty cool, the game looks fine, the survival elements are fun and interesting. There's a lot of potential here it's tragic it can't come together. The game has a lot of problems. It's not just one thing, it's a lot of different things all at once that pick away at the fun. First off the game makes me motion sick. Personal problem, sure. But I've played other similar games that didn't have this effect on me. I couldn't tell you WHY this particular game does it to me, but it does. And it sucks Second, and probably the biggest thing I don't like is there's just not enough reward for your efforts. In any survival game, things can be hard or even brutal in the beginning but eventually you "get ahead" and start to gain an edge in some way and accumulate SOMETHING that makes surviving easier. Eventually you accumulate a lot [of whatever it is] and become more comfortable and can finally "relax" a bit more. It's a rewarding gameplay loop. In this game I would expect this accumulated resource to be money, upgrades for your rig, etc. But it just doesn't happen. After several hours I felt literally no more equipped to deal with my environment than I was when I launched the game. Everything is far too expensive and the smallest mistake has you literally back at square 1. Hours of work, gone. As if it never happened. It's downright oppressive and frustrating and not fun. Some other problems that sap fun away: - The game is more of an agonizingly slow and precise parking simulator than it is a "driving in space" sim - Your truck is far too slow and cumbersome. - "Cockpit" view is atmospheric but totally impractical for actual use because you have such awful vision of your surroundings - The "roads" are too few and too narrow
This is a lot of cool stuff that this game tries to do, but the lack of explanation just made me frustrated. On top of that I just had a really had time figuring out where I was supposed to go at any given point, and I every job comes with a timer so I would rush off to wherever I thought might be the right spot and then I'd be angry when I cold find the drop off point and then suddenly my power cells are shutting down because I couldn't find any indicator for how much TIME I had left before they shut off.
