Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Very good edition of second story filled to the brim with qol. Fun story and nice skills and build possibilities. Many endings where you can basically pair up or not all party members how you want to
The OG game has such a special place in my heart, and whatever lofty expectations I had for a remake, this FAR exceeded them. Post-game content, crafting and Chaos difficulty Raid Gabriel were highlights and about everything I really look forward to in my JRPG's. That said, it is far from perfect and the writing still feels like 1998 jrpg to it's core. It's been 10+ years since I've played even the psp version and I was struck by how bare bones it feels. I especially have grown to dislike it's handling of alternate endings and private actions when the entire cast and story seem to outright ignore any of the decisions I've made as a player. Why implement an affection system if Rena and Claude are gonna be hard shipped by anyone and everyone I come across, despite them have literally 0 affection points toward each other in game? It renders the alternate endings feeling incredibly out of place. 8/10 - Squeenix PLEASE, give us Star Ocean 3 on Steam and my life is yours

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game's design is a definition of what Chrono Cross should have been.
One of the best JRPG's around.
A classic.
Rating 7/10. It was ok and Id recommend to someone who likes old JRPG's. You could tell the company that did the remake implemented a lot of QOL improvements. The 3D backgrounds were really good looking, the character sprites looked good, and the character portraits looked really well done. My complaints were of course the anime tropes, the voice acting for Claude was just bad. The game was fairly easy up until the last few wise men and by the time I got to the last guy I had used up all my best items and was kind of stuck. I realized the battle system, crafting, and equipment strategy was deeper than I had gotten into it. At that point I was ready for the game to be over so I set the game to earth (easy) and finished it off without trouble. I think if you enjoyed mechanics of the game you will really like the game over all as there is a lot of things to do, tons of endings, multiple characters to find, and two main play throughs to experience. I wont be playing it again, but if they do a remake of the next in the series Ill probably pick it up. BTW my playthrough was actually closer to 24hrs.
