Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.78/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The whole 2D-HD thing is being milked but I'm thankful that we got this gem before the teat runs dry.
Easily the best in the series and one of my favorite JRPG, also brings me back to when I watched my brother first played the original on Playstation 1 :")
Certified hood classic. I know my review is based off of nostalgia, but man it really just tickles my pickle.
可以说游戏的节奏是很不错的,不愧是幻想传说原班人马玩着挺有传说味的,虽然剧情不是很出色但看着没什么特别降智的地方,这就已经够了其实
I know I’m still pretty new to this series, and I haven’t gotten too far into the story yet. I mainly picked up this game because of the high praise it was getting on Steam, and lately I’ve been in the mood to play more RPGs. Now that I can no longer refund it, I figured I’d share my thoughts so far. The first thing that really stood out to me was the music and graphics. Both do a fantastic job of making the world feel alive and immersive. The combat is also very solid, and it’s probably one of the strongest parts of the game. On the other hand, I felt like the random NPCs scattered around towns and cities weren’t handled with much care. I made it a point to talk to everyone I could, but most of them only had one or two throwaway lines. They didn’t add much to the world or feel like an organic part of it, which was a bit disappointing. The story so far has been decent, but I don’t quite understand the heavy hand-holding. The game constantly tells you exactly where to go, which feels unnecessary if you’re actually reading and following along. It makes the pacing feel a little strange. Some of the dialogue one-liners also came across as flat, and I think the game could benefit from putting a bit more effort into character writing and presentation to make it more engaging. Overall, I’d give it a 7/10. I’d call it a 5 baseline, then +1 for the music, +1 for the graphics. The story still has room to grow, and if it really steps up later on, I could easily see this being an 8 or even a 9. I don’t think the story is “bad,” it just struggles to execute its ideas as well as it could, which is understandable, because building a massive RPG like this isn’t easy. I also think a lot of people are too quick to judge big RPGs, expecting the story to always be a perfect 10/10 or nothing. For me, it’s already a solid game with plenty of potential.
Was really enjoying this until a boss fight at the end where you have to take on 3 of the strongest enemies in the game at once. Two of them constantly turn your party to stone and the other spams AOE attacks that kill the entire party. After looking up a guide and realizing the game only gets more tedious from there on I decided to quit even though there's only another 3 hours or so left. The endgame really exposes how simplistic and downright bad the battle system is. It is not fun to engage with enemies and there is no reliable way to dodge or parry with all the crap going on on-screen making battles a button mash fest. This isn't a knee jerk reaction to a difficulty spike, it's a realization after many hours of gameplay. I had an excellent time with the first 29 hours of this - the 2.5D art is gorgeous and I'm a fan of the sci-fi setting. However, a story that drags (I was skipping everything by the halfway mark) and the last gameplay section (Phynal) really, REALLY soured me on the whole experience. If you are a Star Ocean or JRPG superfan I think you'll find enjoyment on sale but for anyone else stay away.
