Pretty basic indie game, very wau Would recommend <3

the people saying its just a walking sim or its boring just dont get it. this is a chill game, no rush, no fights, explore and find the secrets hidden in the world, bark at things and jump around solve puzzles and just relax. it may not have high replayabilty but its fun to just roam around and look at a really pretty animated world. relaxing music and clear the plague upon the land to help lost souls. highly recommend this game if you just want to step back from the fast action games for a bit. side note buy the bundle, its so worth it.

Beautiful. A perfect length for a casual, busy Dad who just wants to experience a couple of hours of calm and peace on a free sunday (and maybe a few hours of the next Friday night).

If you like foxes, magic, nature in games, exploration and solving puzzles, spirit of the north is for you. The nature and scenery are amazing just like the music. The game isn't very long but certainly does have some things to offer. Contrary to the upsides, in terms of the actual puzzles, story and magic the game isn't very complex, though it seems to me more like a puzzle and exploration game. It does have a few bugs that I've personally found, for example where if you jump while performing an action (picking up a staff, shaking water off) you can skip the action animation and get moving a lot faster. The actions might be a bit long, but the bug helps. Other than that, I've seen other users talk about softlocking, however during my playthrough I haven't encountered a single one. But I did jump into a certain hole that I spent a minute trying to get out of. Other users also talked about coming back to saves after getting stuck, but I only ever had to reload a save for the None Forgotten achievement, so I feel like it's not as easy to get stuck, but I might have been lucky with that and the softlocks. The platforming aspect is somewhat clunky, though I have had way less problems that some other users who wrote about it in their reviews. The puzzles and your magical abilities do develop over time until the very end of the game. Some users also have said it's very unclear what to do or why you're doing it, and while I can agree with the why to an extent, but the Wisp (the female fox) does give you a lot of hints, and actually figuring out where to go or how to solve the puzzles is no more difficult than some other games with puzzles I personally played. I have a laptop with an i5-12600H and a mobile RTX 4050 and the game runs fantastically. Overall it's a good game, but I can see how someone who's not into the whole fox-magic-exploration-puzzle aspect might not enjoy the game.

So very relaxing, the scenery is great and the fox is super adorable! The puzzles definitely made me think about how I wanted to solve them and I think that's great. I wanna boop that snoot lol
