Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I'd love to recommend this game whole heartedly, but I cannot do that. There are certainly many things that are amazing and fun about this game. The abilities that you discover and utilize are often interesting (the first time) and useful (sometimes). There were spells that I probably could have and should have utilize more often, but I had my hands full enough with the units I already had roaming the map. The lore seems interesting, and the various missions seem unique enough (until you run into the same ones over and over across campaigns). Units are interesting enough, look cool enough, and seem balance enough within reason. It's really fun to see a squad that you've got win battle after battle and slowly get more powerful with both items and skills. The different mages/heroes you can get seem interesting enough from each other to warrant thinking about which ones you want to run with. Outside of that though, I've had a brutal time with the game. On balanced (the recommended way to play), the AI scales up way too quickly, in my opinion. And it could be a skill or knowledge issue where I'm doing stuff in an order that I shouldn't. But it feels aweful when the enemy squads have 8 t3 units, where I'm stuck with 5 t1 to t2 units. I have goblin archers trying to go up against titans. Obviously that doesn't work. In my last run, I had an enemy squad roll up into my base (which was flying around at the time). I hadn't a clue that they could enter my floating base. Because none of my squads were nearby, I essentiall lost without doing anything. tldr Good: Game looks good, plays good. Bad: unfair AI and often useless units or abilities.

Spells and armies merge Kingdoms rise on tactics' edge Magic claims the land
Im not sure how this game stacks against others in its genre, as their POV/perspectives are always jarring, to me. This isn't. Everything in it is smooth, made well, looks great and functions as intended. The progression is constantly rewarding, and those rewards can often be your greatest challenges. Finding ways to use what you now have isn't always easy, so you feel like you're constantly making mistakes, learning, but the game is forgiving while ALWAYS asserting a challenge, for me at least. On sale, absolutely get this game. Had I not waited til it was on sale I don't think my review would change at all. It just seems like a solid game of this type. The magic and how it lets you move around the map isnt revolutionary, it's replacing old methods, but it's doing it in a way that makes it feel refreshing.
It's a good game - I liked it quite a lot more than I thought I would from the reviews and information I gathered before purchasing the game. Even without the random map DLC, it has quite a lot of variety, depending on where you choose your starting location, what sort of make you want to play and what spell schools you start with. There are also a good set of ways to reach victory conditions and interesting mini-quests along the way. The hero units (which you get after a set amount of time in the game) are also diverse and have their own quest line.
SpellForce: Conquest of Eo Great game and one of the best 4X turn-based strategy games i played. I strongly recommed the game and that you play on hard difficulty. A cheap game as well and you could easily play without the dlc. I have some nitpicks with the game but the only thing that really bothered me was the apprentice system. It's makes it a lot harder to build your heros how you want them to be. I played with the DLC and i think they are worth the price. There are replayability with the game but not more then two playthroughs. I will probably play the game again in the future but for now i will move on to the next time. 9/10
This is a really well-made game. It's polished, well-written, fun, and engaging. It has tons of interesting systems but unlike many 4x games, it doesn't get bogged down in late game micromanagement. Your expansion is fairly limited but you instead can move your mage tower and lodges around nomadically, exploring the map and exploiting new areas. I play lots of 4x games and tend to finish very few games, but this was one I was really motivated to actually finish and play again.
Dont expect this to be like HoMM or AoW. Game throws all types of neutral units at you even before u meet an enemy which is super annoying. + the fact that resources is so scarce so it's so hard to build up armies. Really dumb design by the devs. Avoid as it ain't worth your time.
The game is great! Unfortunately, there is more hype around the old era, but EO is "SAURON SIMULATOR".
What Age of Wonders 4 should have been. No holding the players hands, more hard choices and a better game through and through. I only miss the concept to actually take opponents cities, otherwise its perfect. Would gladly pay for a bigger realase of CoEo 2, especially if it hade city building, infrastructure possibilities and more factions.
A great game held back by its lack of Multiplayer. This way replayability is limited.
