SpeedRunners 2 is a high-speed multiplayer platformer where rival superheroes face off in breakneck races using parkour, grappling hooks, and game-changing power-ups. Fall behind, and a shrinking ring of fire eliminates you – until only one runner remains.

I really don't hate it, but it does kind of feel like a nostalgia bait game. For some parts it feels unique and new, but the rest of it just kinda.. doesnt feel the same? it doesnt add alot of new content, and instead just puts a spin on the original game. A part i do like however, is that along with being a fresh thing, it puts a spin on it. This could be someone's first experience with the speedrunners franchise and i genuinely think it could be fun for someone who's never played it. But for the people that played the first one, this is practically a reskin of sr1 with slightly more bugs and a slightly slower feel to it. all in all i feel like i could recommend this game to someone who's never touched speedrunners 1 and they'd decently enjoy it. But for anyone who grew up with or mainly played sr1, i wouldn't necessarily recommend.
I have about 100 hours in the original game on my Xbox. The first game was the only game that'd bring my 3 siblings and I together, so hearing about a second game... well... made me ecstatic!!! I played the playtest for this game, and have been playing for a while to prepare myself to play with them again. Now, I will say. The game is essentially the same as the first, with the movement being.. slightly worse? Grappling doesn't feel as good, picking up speed doesn't feel as good because most of the time you quickly have to drop it again to turn around, they've added 1 new fundamentally useless item and all of the maps feel... the same as the first game. The visuals are fine for me at least. I've heard some people say they're cluttered and PERSONALLY it's okay. I like the new character designs, I was worried at first they'd come off as "MCU-ified" and for me they didn't achieve that, which is good. They look completely fine and I like the direction in design they've gone with for a lot of them. I don't like Salem's face though. Lol. And what they did to Maneki Neko is atrocious. She looks like an Overwatch character. Anyway. I like the new upgraded 3D look! I also like character unlocks. Very nice additions! The story mode was.... lackluster. EVERYTHING felt rushed. The art, the dialogue, the races, the boss fights, YOU! NAME! IT! Now I don't remember much of the original Speedrunners story mode but I'm sure it was better than this. I was quite disappointed... Overall, if you want a fun game to play with your friends.. I recommend! If you're playing this as a long time game.. hmmmmm DEPENDS! I am personally blinded by nostalgia but I hate to say I was a little disappointed by the full game. It's a solid 6/10. I'm definitely going to continue playing though, I miss this. Also Unic wasn't gay enough BAD GAME!
I think it's fun, I like the vibe, the music, the announcer. They did ♥♥♥♥ up Salem in my opinion though. Sure I want to ♥♥♥♥ her now, but that wasn't my interest in her character to begin with. I also am not entirely sure what people are saying about the visual clarity, everything seemed fine to me.
