Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 19.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Species: Unknown is a first-person survival horror game, playable in co-op with up to 4 players (private or public servers) or solo. You play as a mercenary sent aboard an abandoned spaceship. Your job? Execute high-risk contracts, make it out alive, and claim your reward. But keep in mind that you’re not alone. Something is hunting you…
Form a squad of up to 4 players to take on different contracts with escalating difficulty. Each mission plays differently depending on your objective, your teammates, the map and which of the 5 intelligent threats is stalking you. No one survives alone, but you can try.

Proximity Chat & Radio are available: distance matters, walls matter. Proximity Chat is bringing more tension, sometimes chaos, and unforgettable moments to your co-op sessions.

Every contract drops you into a different nightmare. Whether you're tasked with extracting a black box, capturing or eliminating an unknown threat, or even destroying the ship to prevent the creature from escaping… Each mission demands a specific strategy and none of them are easy.
The specimen is chosen procedurally from a growing roster of terrifying monsters. Each one comes with distinct behaviors, hunting patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. You’ll need to investigate your surroundings to gather vital clues and identify the threat in order to proceed smoothly (or not). Do your job and get rewarded, or die without anyone knowing.

Strategize as a group, make smart use of your tools that can turn the tide, if only for a moment:
Motion Tracker : Detect nearby movement and prepare for what's coming
Shield : Block deadly attacks and buy time for your team
Health Syringe : Heal yourself or allies in the heat of battle
Mini-Map : Navigate pitch-black corridors with real-time positional data
Guns won’t always save you. Some threats are too resistant or simply untouchable. But the right weapon, found at the right time, can help you push through or even take the creature down.

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. Completing contracts earns you credits you can use to:
Upgrade your gear
Buy new tools
Customize your appearance
Gather lore and build your own creature museum

The homie Caleb would LOVE this frfr
Great game, very replayable even with the current amount of content out
A wonderful game with a really cool space-adventure vibe. At times, the game is challenging, but it’s fun in its own way. While playing, I have a pink shuttle and was as happy as a child. The only thing I’m missing in the game is the ability to change the shuttle’s name, and I’d also like to add lots of glitter to my ship.😁 Аnd , it would be nice if the game included Ukrainian.

TL;DR: Fun core gameplay, but the content pool is too thin to sustain long term engagement. Wait for the next major content update before buying. What Works: The core concept is genuinely well executed. Gameplay is smooth, well paced, and the underlying ideas are solid. Whoever is designing the core loop clearly knows what they are doing. What Doesn't: The problem is content velocity, not quality. After a few hours, you hit a hard content wall: it's the same experiences repeated with little variety. I understand this is a small team, and there are other small studios shipping content at a much faster clip for comparison. At the current pace, I am genuinely concerned the game will feel outdated by the time it has enough content to justify long term replayability. Bottom Line: Despite being fun in short bursts, I cannot recommend buying in its current state. Wishlist it and revisit in a year or so once a new map has shipped. By then it might actually be worth the price and the time investment.
I have had the most fun playing this game and I can't recommend it more if you want to have fun with friends. I haven't ran into many issues playing and the excitement of it has been awesome. I do wish there was a bit more variety when it came to the map, but the monster variety makes up for it. If you wanna scream and laugh with friends then play this for sure.
This criminally underrated game is basically Alien: Isolation but this time the alien doesn't wear plot armor. Don't kid yourself - there's gonna be a lot of tragedy, but also triumph. Survival is NOT guaranteed and depends entirely on your smarts and skill. From the atmosphere, music and visuals to the gameplay, the game starts on a high note and continues to be absolutely amazing. The monsters remain scary throughout the game and difficulties. The game won't insult your intelligence by holding your hand and you'll love it for that. It looks AAA but it's without the typical AAA ♥♥♥♥ that plagues modern gaming. 100% recommended, best with friends.
This game is exciting, terrifying, and most definitely a team builder. I swear protecting my teammate as we made our way to the shuttle bay, with our package, while being hunted.....absolutely priceless. I applaud the devs, followed by a quick grab and shake as I demand more. More I say! I want more maps, more species, more missions.
Spaceship detail is by far one of the best looks in this game, I love horror games but usually they all have some silly creature that just is poorly looking. Besides the four legged creature the rest all feel plausible and make them that more frightening. So atmospheric, great graphics and design and so much fun with friends. Oh the screaming and running! I do have one gripe, why does my character stomp around in his armor? I'd like to either do a smash kick or some kind of jump in my heavy ass armor.
TLDR: Technical instability, constant disconnections, and gameplay that bears little resemblance (in my opinion) to the advertised experience make this a difficult recommendation. If your idea of entertainment is Phasmophobia with toothless weaponry and creatures that shrug off your attacks, this might suit you. For everyone expecting an extraction shooter as the trailers somewhat suggest, save your money and your patience. There is a certain expectation that comes with purchasing a game today, and that expectation is not particularly demanding. First off, you want the software to function without crashing, and within the span of just under two hours, spread across two maps with friends, the game managed to crash or disconnect us seven or eight times. And it wasn't solely me, others in the group had similar errors. Connection issues ran rampant, with players being dropped mid-session, unable to join lobbies, or simply disappearing from the server without explanation. When the most memorable aspect of your evening is a series of error screens and reconnection attempts, the product has failed at its most basic obligation. The gameplay itself compounds this frustration with design choices that seem engineered to disappoint. The creatures you encounter either respawn endlessly, rendering your efforts meaningless, or they possess immunities to nearly every tool at your disposal. While the game apparently contains specific hard counters for each monster type, discovering them requires a level of patience that the instability has already exhausted. You are left holding firearms that serve more as noisemakers than instruments of defense, which might be forgivable if the marketing had been clearer on the experience you're getting. This brings me to the matter of expectations, which the trailers and promotional materials set with remarkable inaccuracy. What was advertised suggested an experience of boarding vessels, unraveling mysteries, solving puzzles, gathering loot, and extracting with your haul. What was delivered is essentially a paranormal investigation simulator with ineffective weaponry tacked on, a format that will delight fans of that specific niche and absolutely no one else. It's not a bad game (outside of all the technical/connection issues) in the sense of what it's trying to do, but had it been more clear in what it was on the store page, I'd have never bought it to begin with.
