About
SpaceSlog is a challenging and unique spaceship and colony simulator that focuses on shipbuilding, crew interaction, exploration and survival. Inspired by games such as Rimworld, Starship Theory, Dwarf Fortress and X-COM, as well as iconic media such as Firefly, Stargate Universe and The Expanse.
Your colony ship is destroyed, and with it humanity's final hope is lost to the dark, cold void. But somewhere, deep within the slog, drifts a barely functioning life pod. Alone, hungry, and lost in space, you command a motley crew of ragged survivors and must guide them through a time that has come to be known as the SpaceSlog era.

Various types of crafting.
Animals - pets and husbandry.
A full immersive economic system.
Plus many other improvements across the board.
Whether you want to build a small but nimble ship with a small crew, or a large battleship with lots of crew, the choice is yours. Just ensure you have enough supplies to manage your crew and keep your ship functioning.
Careful consideration must be used when placing doors, power or atmospheric systems in case of breaches or other hazards.
Each time you play, the game's incident system will generate a different galaxy for you to explore. Whichever difficulty you choose will influence how this galaxy or incidents are generated.
Stay in one place for too long or get stranded and your crew will surely die. You must keep moving and find other ships or factions to trade with in order to survive.
The needs of your crew must be met in order to keep your ship fully functioning. An angry crew may rebel, decide not to work or give up completely. Ensure you have enough food and water to feed your crew. You must also choose your captain wisely.
Gear up and fight different species of aliens in melee or ranged combat. Cut off their limbs and allow them to bleed out so you can harvest their meat for food and skin for furniture. Build a medbay to heal your own sick and injured crew.
All the game's data is stored in JSON files. This means it is extremely easy to change anything currently in the game and even add new ones. In the future we plan to expand on this even further.
SpaceSlog has been meticulously hand crafted over the course of many years. This not only ensures we have a robust and manageable architecture, allowing for extensive mod support and efficient iteration on bugs, support and updates. But it also offers you, the player, a bespoke experience with original visuals, sounds and music.
The author of SpaceSlog has spent over a decade painstakingly developing a large and popular free modification for Mount&Blade Warband called A World of Ice and Fire. This is the reason for wanting extensive mod support and should hopefully give peace of mind for anyone wanting to purchase SpaceSlog, knowing the author is not only accustomed to long development cycles, but it also dedicated and willing to finish a project.

A very challenging game. I died several times before I learned how to play. You have to constantly keep an eye on your oxygen and fuel levels, and sometimes it's difficult to defeat the Spaceworms. I bought a chicken so I could eat the eggs, but the chicken ate them before I did. ;) It's a fun game, and I'm looking forward to future updates.
Awesome gameplay
I am gonna start this off by saying this game has a lot of heart and passion to it. Looking through the developer's old updates for working on this game since 2021 shows there is a lot of intention for this to be a great experience. I had been heavily disappointed by how starship theory had turned out especially with how much promise it had before it was left abandoned; So seeing this game providing a similar experienced piqued my interest. However, the game as it stands now is clunky. The basic mechanics are there. Space travel, resources gathering, pawn management, and the physics are founded. The issue is in practice it is clunky and traversing the menus is quite tedious. Pawn management is the main issue I've found with having a hard time keeping track of where they are on the map as well as being able to draft them on demand for combat. It could definitely do with a section listing the pawns so you can click and be directly immediately to their location. Pawns also have had issues with idling randomly despite having been in the middle of an action, which has led to a lot of wasted time when it takes a while for the pawn to traverse any given area. Construction as well is quite clunky and is decently annoying with being a core mechanic as to cancel any order you need to click on the structure/object directly to cancel construction. In terms of positives however i see a lot of promise. The mechanics as I have said are at least there and they work as intended but need a lot of quality of life improvements. I did largely want a rimworld in space and i have gotten that basically so far. It does however have its own character and the direction does have a much more exploratory element to be had with the planets as well as traversing space. I have not run into any game breaking bugs like a lot of early access titles and i have to give props to running into few bugs as of yet outside of the idling issue. It is something that i expect will be fixed. Many of the cons i have provided i can see being fixed and added to. I am very much looking forward to seeing how this game goes and I do not regret paying for this game as I see it as an investment in a great game to come. I am just hoping the developer stays passionately involved in the development and if that stays true I expect to be plugging in as many hours as I've put into rimworld.

interativo, dinamico e viciante.
currently quite limited, and honestly not worth the money. However i like the play style and hope the dev continues to make the game beter.
Good game, looks like space rimworld, please keep update it
Great game with a lot, lot of potential! SpaceSlog is awesome!!! Very much recommend supporting the developer of SpaceSlog Produno who is a known entity and is fully committed to the continued development of SpaceSlog. Produno has done absolutely great and legenadry work in the modding community including A Word of Ice and Fire (AWOIAF) mod! Produno is a living legend! There is a lot of gameplay and content in SpaceSlog as it is and I see it only getting better in the future! Produno is also highly responsive feedback and is very committed to making SpaceSlog significantly better through continuously adding more and more content while listening to player feedback and implementing positive changes based on feedback!
Game will only launch on sensor panel screen, no option to use default monitor. The game is now fixed, and developer sorted issue out fast
A promising attempt to cross Starship Theory with Rimworld, but it is at a level of a technical demo. Tedious, poorly explained, counter intuitive, tutorial railroads you too much. Issues: - Characters: a single scratch appears to bleed indefinetely; Depending on a start, yours is a single character on the map with a private bedroom yet apparently character lacks privacy; Food/water/sleep stats drain extremely fast. - Ships: rosources get consumed even when they are not needed (generator's power and LS do not get throttled); Nothing warns you about heat buildup beforehand; No 'move' option for furniture etc - Tutorial: as an example it wants you to place external storage, character immediately unloads ship and you can't prevent that despite needing things like water and food in the ship. But the only thing tutorial lets you do is to mark asteroids in a specific way. - Long range travel: nothing happens for a long while. There is a complete lack of control over movement or destination. When you do get a location to 'drop' at you get no information of what to really expect beyound 'probably rocks' and whether there is a sun or not - Environment is boring. Roundish unmoving rocks of fixed output. Uniform wrecks that are basically reskinned rocks. No procedural wrecks, no big, traversable asteroids. No interesting mechanics of interracting with what little environment there is. - Some bugs, like a character refusing to haul a corpse with zero feedback or a character stops accepting orders mid combat with zero feedback and just stands there while a worm keeps biting. At the moment not worth it.
I very much recommend SpaceSlog. Like playing RimWorld in space and on steroids. Game rocks! Super looking forward to what Produno has envisioned for the future of SpaceSlog! Great game, worth every penny!!!
