In this world, the Mask is a symbol of the gods. Each Mask grants a unique combat style, while the Mimicry System lets you embody a deity to turn the tide of battle.
With 9 weapon classes, 88 weapon skills, and the infinite traits of your tribesmen, each battle is a thrilling test of skill to be experienced as you fight for survival.
Freedom is at the heart of Soulmask. Play solo at your own pace, team up with friends in co-op, run your own private server with custom rules, or step onto official servers where the stakes are real.
PvE if you want your civilization to grow undisturbed, PvP if you want to test it against rival chieftains. However you choose to play, over 200 customizable settings let you shape the rules, the rhythm, and the world itself.
In v1.0, we introduce three distinct playstyles: Tribe Mode for the builders and leaders; Survival Mode for the purists; and Warrior Mode for those who seek the thrill of brutal combat. Choose your style.

Not Recommended – Soulmask Still Feels Half‑Finished Soulmask has some interesting ideas, but the overall experience is dragged down by clunky systems, stiff gameplay, and design oversights that make it hard to enjoy for long. UI & Performance The UI feels extremely rudimentary. Hotkeys often have noticeable delays before the game responds, and character switching is laggy enough to break immersion. Even basic interactions feel sluggish and unreliable. Crafting System Crafting is messy and unintuitive. Items are poorly categorized, forcing constant scrolling or manual searching just to find simple materials. It’s slow, clunky, and far more frustrating than it should be. Character Creator The character creator is extremely limited. Every character ends up looking nearly identical, giving the impression of a “cookie‑cutter” system with no meaningful personalization. Combat & Movement Movement feels stiff and robotic, reminiscent of late‑90s games. Combat is janky, weightless, and lacks fluidity. Nothing about fighting or traversal feels modern or polished. Customization There’s no armor or weapon customization at all. For a survival game built around progression, the lack of personalization is a major disappointment. Grind‑Heavy Progression Late‑game progression becomes a slog. RNG‑heavy dungeon runs, low material yields, and long wait timers for essential upgrades make the grind feel excessive rather than rewarding. Starter Character Problems Your main character starts weak, has no traits or origin, and caps out at level 50. Investing hours into a character only to discover they can’t progress meaningfully feels bad, especially when recruited tribe members quickly outclass them. Character Switching Penalties Switching to another tribe member effectively “turns off” your original character — they become inactive and can’t be assigned tasks. It discourages experimentation and makes the system feel punishing instead of flexible. Tribesman Management Managing tribe members is cumbersome. Assigning tasks, organizing roles, and keeping track of who’s doing what feels more like wrestling with the UI than leading a tribe. The systems are functional, but far from smooth. HUD Oversight: No Player Nameplates The lack of visible player nameplates on the HUD is a baffling omission. In a game built around managing multiple characters, not being able to quickly identify who you’re looking at or controlling makes everything harder than it needs to be. Final Thoughts Soulmask has potential, but right now it feels more like a rough prototype than a polished survival experience. Between the clunky UI, stiff movement, shallow customization, heavy grind, and awkward tribe management, it’s difficult to recommend in its current state. With major updates it could become something great — but it’s not there yet.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If like combat, crafting, and survival then this would be a great game for you. There are sliders to make things ridiculously easy, or harder than Hell, so everyone can find something that fits their playstyle.
after 5 days away . everything is gone WTF this game is stupid .. wast of time . i should of given my money to a homeless person would of been better use of my money ,, SO disappointing
No its a gotcha game where they advertise you getting thingson the regular game, but turns out you have to buy a dlc on top of purchasing a game just to use those things
Thumbs down! The game was recommended to me, and at first I was thrilled. It offers a system for organizing your tribe members - such as craftsmen or warriors - that was new to me. After a few hundred hours of play, however, once you have delved deep into the game, you quickly realize that a lot of things do not work properly. So, clearly, I do not recommend buying it. It looks nice at first, but you will be disappointed. Two hours to test it and then return it is absolutely not enough to uncover the game's flaws. The videos on the store page look great, but the reality is quite different.
Best survivalcraft game in 2026. Over 400 hours within a month speak volumes, haven't had such an itch since the first Ark game out. I hope Shifting Sands map gets finished soon. I also hope several annoying bugs get fixed faster. And I hope they continue delivering content. But for what it is, it's already a lot of fun, especially if you have a nice group of people who sometimes causally and sometimes intensively want to play together on a server.
After all the hype, I expected something far better. Instead, I found an unpolished, buggy mess. The UI is awful, the combat feels stiff and uninspired, and the overall experience is incredibly janky. It's hard to believe anyone thought this was ready for release. I've played early access titles that felt more complete than this. Refunded.
This is a truly bad game, but bad in a way that you play past your refund window before realizing there's nothing here to it and it's little more than any of a thousand asset flip titles. I reached the point where I confirmed that this is irredeemably bad when I turned on creator mode to see what kind of things I could build, and I couldn't connect a straight stair to a stair corner, because they just hadn't though to let those two types of construction pieces join up. Awful waste, don't be tricked. This review is partly for myself to remind me why this thing is garbage. Set aside the piss-poor combat and recruitment mechanics, you can't actually build much of anything and building is not enjoyable.
