Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've gotta say, this game is pretty good! Even if it may make a few strange and/or questionable decisions, I still like it regardless. The game's physics feel very close to the Genesis games (and Mania), even moreso than Sonic 4 Episode II, I find. This game has a bunch of different music styles, varying between Genesis, "Sonic 4", and Mania, and honestly I'm quite okay with it! Probably the best tracks are the ones that play in the single-act Zones (Sky Temple, Sand Sanctuary etc.). And I love the little detail of other characters being visible in the backgrounds of some Zones when you're not playing as them. :) If you are a long-time Sonic fan, this game is honestly a must-have. You can even play with up to four players cooperatively, which makes it a great game for couch co-op! (p.s: This game honestly *isn't* worth the usual price; I'd recommend buying it whenever it goes on sale.)

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 31: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

There's definitely something here, but I can't bring myself to like it. More often than not i found myself bored or frustrated with levels and bosses. Level design seems intent on forcing you to memorize the layouts in order to play well, as you will get hit from off-screen with great frequency or find yourself caught in some instant death trap with very little time to react. I know they can make this better, because there are portions of stages and bosses that DO create hazards and challenges that you can interact with and get through without just having to snap-react. The bonus stages were my least favorite iteration of this concept in one of these games I've ever encountered. I can see how some people might like it, but I just found these soulless and lame. The music is great, and this (to me at least) has always been the one consistent thing with the 2D Sonic games. There are some genuinely clever ideas in the stage design and there were a few I really did like. Different characters have some differences that make them play the same levels in new ways, which I also liked. There are also an number of unique boss designs that ask you to interact differently with the stage than you might be used to, which were cool in concept, though in execution often felt slow or random. Overall, I'd say that if you are a hardcore 2D Sonic fan, you'll probably like this. But if you aren't too deeply excited by the franchise, maybe skip this one and pick up something else.
Sonic Superstars isn't the 'BEST GAME OF ALL TIME' or 'BEST CLASSIC SONIC GAME IN ENTIRE FRANCHISE' by any means. But it's still a very good Sonic game, despite some of its flaws. I've been looking past glitches (which happened a bit often but it was only because my computer isn't real good and it kinda struggles to run the game sometimes) and it's not 'terrible' or 'bad'. (Sonic '06 falls more into that category.) Some of soundtrack isn't good, sure, but there are still a good amount of bangers in it. (hi super theme) Inbetween 7/10 and 8/10, personally.
This game feels like im getting a lobotomy while getting chomped off by the sega reps for not playtesting this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. THIS GAME IS NOT MADE FOR MULTIPLAYER
Very charming game but I wouldn't pay the whole $60 USD for it
never have i ever played a game so miserable, this game makes makes the original sonic look like a flawless masterpiece and that ♥♥♥♥ has labyrinth zone. this game makes being put into a brazen bull sound fun. this game genuinely caused physical pain upon my brain due to how terribly made it is. if i had 1 million lives, id make sure that in all of them id piss all over this game and forget about its existence. never have i ever felt so excited to play SONIC 4 but here we are thanks to this pile of ass. i was hoping to have a nice relaxing playthrough of a sonic game before i get all nice and cosy in bed but NO. my retinas are burnt now, the pain in my head caused by this game makes it impossible to even dream of the smallest snooze possible. if i ever have to wait a whole minute before i can hit a boss ONCE ever again in a game where my whole purpose is to be a fast creature (who could easily smoke things in previous games) then im never gonna be giggling again. the best part about this game is beating it so that you can finally uninstall it and hide it in your library. i want to go back to having fun. not sugoi. not xd chunga. worst game ive ever played. dont touch this, just watch it on youtube like a TRUE fan. 0/10 RUINED MY NIGHT
There are three main reasons I can't recommend this. It's a shame, because there are a lot of moments in this game that are genuinely a ton of fun. The late-game bossfights are absolutely miserable. The difficulty spikes they give you are unprecedented even for 2D Sonic. The mechanics are underutilized. I rarely found myself using most of the Chaos Emerald power-ups. Finally, Trip's campaign does not offer much different enough for it not to be a drag to play the entire game all over again. Sonic Heroes syndrome. The icing on the cake: The soundtrack is lackluster. I'm not gonna say DON'T buy it, but also don't feel guilty if you skip this one.
Adoro Sonic.
