About
Solarpunk is a survival game in a technologically advanced world of floating islands. Alone or together with 4 friends, you can construct buildings, grow food, craft gadgets and explore distant islands with your own airship.
Use sunlight, wind and water to create an energy system and automate your processes like gathering resources and watering your plants.
Design your dream home base with a wide range of materials and decorations. You’re free to build cozy spaces, add tiny details, and make your island feel just like home.
These buildings were crafted by our amazing community in the demo!

Generate electricity using wind and solar energy. Weather conditions affect how much energy you produce, so you’ll need to plan ahead. Store energy in batteries and use wireless power to keep your base running smoothly.

Play solo or with friends. Everyone has their own inventory, and you can decide whether to build something together or create your own little corner in the sky.

In Solarpunk, you live in symbiosis with animals. There is no exploitation, only coexistence. Pigs, for example, will dig up truffles if treated well. Growing fruits and vegetables is your main source of food. Plant seeds in the ground and harvest them once they’re fully grown.

Automate your tasks using transport drones to gather resources, giving you more time to build and explore your skybound home.

Each player can build their own airship. Use it to travel to surrounding islands and discover new resources.

Fun game with a lot of interesting features. Managed to 100% in 22 hours!
So, I will be reviewing this as a SOLARPUNK Game, which this is not. There is nothing Punk about this. This is just a solar cozy farm game with an airship... You're still doing extreme resource extraction, you're still exploiting every single resource, and you barter resources for blueprints with a robot who chills on a floating platform. With the name you would expect more, but clearly the devs saw solarpunk as just a random vibe they could make money off of. Which they were correct.
Voto: 7.5/10
I do like this game, it is peaceful and relaxing, no fights, no struggles, no excitement, if you like this kind of rather boring development of a progression the game is for you, but if you look for something more challenging you should not buy it. This game is about getting resources on islands that you can't reach without ship upgrades, decorating your home, a bit of farming and crafting. "I played it on singleplayer and was done within 2 days with the basic content." It might be more interesting in the Coop, but probably it would be even shorter. To be honest the price tag is totally bold considered the short gameplay. I am glad I bought it only for a few Euros, otherwise I would regret it. Maybe the game gets better later on in development, but for now there is just far too few content. Other than that it is already a beautiful game, but except to lightning that can strike you, it is rather for children and older ladies ;) Would I recommend it to some random player? No, not for it's price.
This game has my favorite build system of any that I have tried to date. It has all of the flexibility of Minecraft yet with a ton of assets and all of the finishing touches needed to make it look as beautiful and realistic as a base in Subnautica, The Planet Crafter, etc. I think the devs understood an important thing that is often tough to accept as a software developer - it's always more important to let the users do what they want to do than it is to make a pristine bug-free system. To this end, the build system definitely has a few minor bugs in it and it sometimes takes a little finesse to work around them. But I never found myself in a position of not being able to create what I wanted. And the fact that you can always rebuild things without losing resources means that you can always recover if you come to see a certain build decision as a mistake. Also, I have been searching for a game with energy mechanics like this for a long time. Electric load balancing is a real challenge in the world we are headed towards and to show people that solving it can be fun and creative is a nice way to nudge the world in the right direction.
Heavily enjoy the concept, the art everything. I have been playing with my wife and it has the perfect mix of our roles when we game. The only issue, we can't use the same airship, why? Adding a seat to it or something so you could take another person would be fantastic that's it. That little bit extra would go so far. I am making this review negative so that hopefully it gains traction and the developers can fix this oversight. Not everyone games independently together, a majority of couples have roles in games and it sucks when you can't fully fulfil those.
