Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.14/day in the week to Aug 7 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It honestly breaks my heart to give this review. I was a kickstarter backer and I was so excited for this game, but as many other reviews say, it's just soulless. There's no purpose, there's no lore, there's no story. Honestly I think just calling it Sandbox might be more accurate. It's just... drive around, unlock things... and that's it. I thought there would be a story... There is so many quick win tweaks they could make... You go to towers, get information etc. Much like Raft does. You don't really 'meet' people properly. It's a bit of dialogue and then you move on but it feels like you're learning about a world... because you are. Outbound... just lacks the depth to be worth it and I didn't realise it would be like this when released. I am so disappointed.
I hate to review games poorly, but at the time of playing - just after the fishing update - the game feels... unfinished. Like a pretty prototype. My friend immediately started making a mod for the light system, as it is just a cone with a semi-opaque shader, which blinds you if you turn it on. The movement is not enjoyable. Tolerable in the van, but rough on your feet. Worst of all, though.. is the core issue that I have to wait to do the things I find enjoyable when playing with friends. If someone wants to build / decorate, while another person enjoys the upgrade loop / resource gathering, then you just have to.. wait. You can't do both at once. So I end up walking away from the van while they build, and that means relying on that previously mentioned on-foot movement, and that just.. ugh. The game is missing something. The are bones for.. something... here, but I don't know what.

I've read some of the negative reviews. And I do agree with some.. Some players doesn't like the walking and running speed. Well, it's a cozy game. It is supposed to be that way. Later on you can adopt a dog, and one of its unlockable skills is to cather, or more like fetch, resources. Some have issues with engine overheating. I only encounter that once, when I drove with almost flat tires. There are unlocks that helps with engine issues. Dark at night. Well, you are suposed to sleep during the night. You will later on, unloch a flashlight. "The maze". Well, there are arrows you can flip, so you know where you been. Solved the maze relativily quickly. The god. Very cozy and relaxing. Many things to unlock, explore, some puzzles and things to collect. I played this game with my 9yo son. He usually play minecraft such, and he did like the game. The bad. To be honest, I only found one thing, and the same I find in the negative reviews. The light from lamps and candles are just "cones". The lamps doesn't provide much. The vans light, and the flashlight is ok though. (Not good, but ok..) What's the dog-treats for? Some unlucks, sure, but the amount of treats, and you can't give them to the dog.. ¯\(ツ)/¯ No cat! (My son wanted a cat, not a dog ;D ) Me. I don't do "cozy". But still, here I am, writing a positive review on a cozy game.
I wanted to like this game as I really love the idea of getting out there and exploring. Unfortunately this game has you so focused on grinding just so that you can unlock things that will allow you to grind some more. Why does it take a different (harder to obtain) wood type to create the same fire? Why do you not unlock a flashlight until halfway through the game? Why, in a multiplayer game, do you encounter a farm with MANY dogs (who have been abandoned) and you can only take one? Why, in a multiplayer game, can only one person craft things/upgrade/decorate at a time? Why, in a multiplayer game, can only one person get a van (when each person creates theirs in the tutorial)? This game is supposed to be about the journey, but you have to backtrack so much because recipes become available at places you've already been, or you need more crafting materials from earlier areas. And having to backtrack while traveling at a snail's pace is just excruciating.
It's okay. Not really what I was expecting. To be a game about getting out there it sure is anal on where you have to go to progress. I explored the lighthouse but it didn't register. I don't like the fact that you can only get certain upgrades at certain towers. You should be able to park at the lake, find enough materials to build your van the way you want with whichever upgrade. I shouldn't have to move if I don't want to and still be able to progress with upgrades. I dont want to HAVE to explore places, I want the option to. Why is it so hard to find wood in the middle of the woods. You need it for basically everything so it should be plentiful or at least let us cut down trees with the axes. Maybe add some designated areas for chopping trees and the option to buy or rent land to park the camper on. Could be fun with a few tweaks.
Let me lead with this game has incredible potential. The good: 1.Extremely scenic / visual with great pathing that showcases all the beautiful views as you travel through the game. 2. The Van is such a cozy concept, and the option to customize it with a base is charming. 3. Traveling to new places is exciting and could set up for really great story telling. The bad: 1. The player is punished, and I do mean punished, with a PAINFULLY SLOW walking speed. The sprinting speed should be the default walking speed, and sprinting should be done away with completely. 2. The lighting system needs updating. The van light only projects foggy cones, and the light only extends 3 meters in front of the van. That's it. It's also uncomfortably blue and dark and night. Hurts the eyes and could use some tweaking. Gives you a migraine. 3. The weather system is constantly cycling between sunny, windy, and rainy. It rains FAR too often, and only decreases visibility for the player (which at night, is painfully low). Things that could be improved: 1. The game feels soulless. Yes, everything is beautifully built, but there's no meaningful voice lines or story. You're literally just driving a van around, checkpointing at towers along the way, and raiding strangers homes for floppy discs, usb sticks, and other misc items. After getting through the first of four maps, I already felt I had experienced everything the game had to offer. The game needs purpose. 2. Please make trees choppable. There's too few items littered on the floor, and the engine dies constantly early game. Pair that with the slow walking speed and the game is slow and boring. 3. Food has no real purpose. Berries and mushrooms picked on the floor are sufficient for hunger needs. This game isn't about threats, so the health system seems out of place. 4. Put a radio in the Van. 5. Give fishing a purpose besides completionism. Weird fishing and getting no fish when you're done. Just gold stars.

I love this game so much. But hear me out. Can we have cat companions too pretty please?
Absolutely amazing game. Would HIGHLY recommend on playing it and try 100% this. The game was nice to 100%, with the achievements being quite creative, tho it would be nice to get an achievement for getting all of the fish and that u 100%ed the game. 'Only complaint to me abt this game were that the 2nd map SUCKS on getting collectables and that some things like stones can not be picked up in most maps for some reason. Otherwise this is absolutely amazing game to play and actually buying it as it's quite cheap for such an amazing game
